What is YamCha ?

「飲茶」係廣東地區，包括香港同澳門，一個好傳統嘅飲食文化。平時尤其係星期六日早上，好多家庭都會一齊去茶樓「飲早茶」。所謂「飲茶」，唔單止係飲茶咁簡單，仲包括食點心，好似蝦餃、燒賣、叉燒包、鳳爪同蘿蔔糕等等。茶樓入面啲阿姐會推住車仔，逐枱問人要唔要點心，成個氣氛好熱鬧。飲茶唔只係為咗食嘢，仲係一家人相聚、聊天嘅好時機。呢種文化代表住廣東人重視家庭同人情味，係幾代人都珍惜嘅傳統。

"Yum cha" is a traditional culinary culture in the Cantonese regions, including Hong Kong and Macau. Especially on weekend mornings, many families go together to a tea house for "morning tea." Yum cha is not just about drinking tea—it also includes eating dim sum such as har gow, siu mai, char siu buns, chicken feet, and turnip cake. In the tea houses, servers push carts around and ask each table if they’d like some dim sum, creating a lively atmosphere. Yum cha is not only for eating, but also a chance for family bonding and conversation. This tradition reflects how Cantonese people value family and social warmth, and it is a cherished custom passed down through generations.
