Steemit Representative and Booming Program " Concerns and Proposals"

in #steemreps20256 days ago

As the Steemit Representative and Booming program application period has ended, I've reviewed the submissions and have concerns about some applicants' behavior. Some are pretending to be active and sincere Steemit users while exploiting the system for personal gain.

Issues with Current Applicants

  • Some applicants have a history of powering down their accounts and then becoming active again to collect more power.
  • Many applicants have multiple accounts, which is against the rules, and use them to support each other and earn rewards.
  • These applicants are not genuinely promoting Steemit or contributing to its growth. Instead, they're manipulating the system to benefit themselves.
  • Their communities have stagnant or declining user bases, and they're not onboarding new users.

Proposed Reforms

To address these issues, I propose the following reforms:

  1. Eliminate multiple account holders who are using these accounts to game the system.
  2. Stop applicants who are getting rewards through multiple accounts.
  3. Implement measures to prevent applicants from transferring Steem between accounts to artificially inflate their power.
  4. Require applicants to disclose potential conflicts of interest, such as family members or close relatives involved in similar roles or programs.
  5. Selected applicants for the Steem Representative or Booming program should meet specific requirements, such as onboarding at least 10 new users to Steemit within a month.

Additional Conditions

  • Steem Representatives should not upvote content from their own region, country, or relatives.
  • Booming should be used exclusively to upvote content from other countries and communities.
  • Selected applicants should not be allowed to apply for other programs like Monthly Creator or Steemit Engagement.

Pakistani Applicants (Proof Comming Soon)

I've noticed that Pakistani applicants are heavily involved in multiple accounts, exploiting the platform for personal gain. I recommend that the Steemit team thoroughly vet these applicants' accounts and performance.

By implementing these reforms, we can promote a more genuine and engaged community on Steemit, encourage new users and writers, and prevent the exploitation of multiple accounts. It's time for Steemit to revisit its rules and ensure that they're aligned with the platform's goals.

Detail about Steemit Representative and Booming Program: Concerns and Proposals

image.png

Today was the last day to apply for the Steemit Representative and Booming program. Many users submitted their applications, and I've reviewed them all. I'm writing this post to inform the team about some important facts. Unfortunately, some applicants are trying to deceive the team by pretending to be active and sincere Steemit users.

I've noticed that some users have a history of powering down their Steemit accounts multiple times, only to become active again and collect more power. This behavior is suspicious, and it's mostly users from Pakistan who are doing this.

Furthermore, some applicants have multiple accounts, which is against the rules. They're using their main account to support their other accounts, boosting their content and earning rewards. This is unfair and deceptive.

As a result, these users are trying to manipulate the system and trick the Steemit team. I want to bring this to the team's attention so they can take necessary actions.

I'm questioning the applicants for the Steem Representative and Booming Program. Have they been honest about their past actions? Have they played a positive role in the Steem community?

The truth is, these applicants are the same people who regularly apply for the Monthly Curators program. They've had their communities selected for the Booming Program multiple times, but instead of using it to promote Steem genuinely, they've exploited it to boost their own multiple accounts.

They claim to have done great things for Steem, but that's not true. The Steem team has given them many opportunities to contribute, but their performance has been disappointing. The number of active users in their communities is dwindling, and they're not doing much to promote Steem.

Their promotion efforts are shallow, limited to sharing posts on Twitter and Facebook just to look good. They don't seem to be bringing in new users or encouraging people to participate. Instead, they're just promoting their own multiple accounts.

If you look at their creation reports, you'll see that they're mostly interacting with the same people - themselves! They're not introducing new users to the platform or contributing to its growth. It's time to take a closer look at these applicants and their true intentions.

If someone asks me for proof to back up my claims, I can point to the applicants' own track records. These same individuals apply for the Monthly Curators program every month, and their communities have been selected for the Booming Program year after year. They've participated in numerous Steemit challenges and have been rewarded with thousands of Steem reward.

However, despite their apparent success, their true mission is to grow their multiple accounts and exploit the system for rewards. They're not genuinely promoting Steemit or contributing to its growth. Instead, they're manipulating the system to benefit themselves.

If their performance was genuinely good, we would see active and engaged communities with a steady influx of new users. However, the reality is that many of their communities have stagnant or declining user bases. The active users they do have are often just their own multiple accounts.

It's concerning that these same individuals are applying for multiple roles, including Steemit Representative, Booming Admin, Monthly Curators , and Engagement Challenge. If they're so active and dedicated, why aren't they onboarding new users from their regions and countries? Instead, they seem to be using their multiple accounts to game the system and collect rewards.

Their applications often claim that they've done excellent work promoting Steemit and bringing in new users. However, a closer look reveals that their "excellent work" is often just a matter of exploiting the system through multiple accounts. It's time to take a closer look at these applicants and their true intentions.

Some applicants are using questionable tactics to boost their main accounts. They're earning power from multiple accounts and then transferring it to their main account, making it seem like they've purchased it from the Steem exchange. In reality, they're just shifting Steem from one account to another, exploiting the system for rewards.

It's concerning that the Steemit team seems to be turning a blind eye to this behavior. They're placing trust in applicants who repeatedly create multiple accounts and engage in suspicious activity. I want to offer some advice to the Steemit team to help prevent this kind of exploitation.

Here are some key points to consider

  • Eliminate multiple account holders who are using these accounts to game the system.
  • Stop applicants who are getting rewards through multiple accounts.
  • Implement measures to prevent applicants from transferring Steem between accounts to artificially inflate their power.

By taking these steps, we can promote a more genuine and engaged community on Steemit. We can encourage new users and writers, rather than rewarding those who exploit the system. If we don't address this issue, multiple account holders will continue to dominate the Steemit blockchain, stifling innovation and progress.

To ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process, I propose that the Steemit team requires applicants for roles such as Steam Representative, Booming, Monthly curator, or Monthly Engagement Challenge to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Specifically, applicants should be asked to reveal if they have any close relatives, such as brothers, sisters, parents, or spouses, who are already involved in similar roles or programs.

This information is crucial in preventing the exploitation of multiple accounts and ensuring that applicants are not unfairly advantaged. By asking applicants to disclose their family connections, we can better understand their relationships and potential biases.

For instance, if multiple members of the same family are applying for similar roles, it's likely that they're working together to manipulate the system. By requiring applicants to disclose their family ties, we can identify and prevent such behavior.

To take it a step further, I suggest that the Steemit team implements the following conditions for applicants:

  • Disclose any family members or close relatives who are already involved in similar roles or programs.
  • Provide information on any potential conflicts of interest or biases.

By implementing these measures, we can promote a more transparent and fair selection process, ensuring that the most deserving applicants are chosen for these roles.

When announcing the selected Steemit users for programs like the Steemit Representative Booming Program, Monthly Creator, or Engagement Program, it's crucial that the Steemit team implements rules and regulations that promote fairness and transparency. I propose that the team considers the rules I've outlined, which aim to prevent the exploitation of multiple accounts and ensure that new users and content writers get the support they deserve.

By implementing these rules, I'm confident that Steemit will become a more inclusive platform where new users can thrive. Currently, many applicants who are selected for these programs use their position to support their own multiple accounts, often in ways that are not immediately apparent. This not only deprives new users of the opportunity to grow but also undermines the integrity of the platform.

To address this issue, I believe that strict yet simple rules are needed to prevent applicants from supporting their multiple accounts. By doing so, we can improve the performance of selected applicants, give rightful owners their due recognition, and promote new users.

It's time for Steemit to revisit its rules and ensure that they're aligned with the platform's goals. By implementing the rules I've proposed, we can create a more level playing field where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed.

Selected applicants for the Steem Representative or Booming program must meet specific requirements. A key condition is that

  • They onboard at least 10 new users to Steemit within a month. This involves providing comprehensive guidance on Steemit's rules and regulations, which can be achieved through social media promotions or grassroots efforts in their area. This condition ensures that the applicant's performance is measurable and beneficial to the Steemit community.

  • The second condition for Steem Representatives is that they cannot upvote content from their own region, country, or relatives. Instead, they should focus on discovering and upvoting high-quality content from other communities. This ensures that Steem Representatives prioritize promoting excellent content over supporting their own multiple accounts or regional biases. By doing so, we can reward the best content creators globally, rather than just those from their own region or network.

  • To ensure fairness and promote quality content, Booming should be used exclusively to upvote content from other countries and communities. A strict condition should be implemented that prohibits Steam Representatives from upvoting content from their own community, region, or country. This will prevent them from artificially boosting their own multiple accounts, which are often created with regional names and content.

By enforcing this condition, Steam Representatives will be incentivized to discover and promote high-quality content from around the world, rather than just supporting their own regional biases. This will lead to a more diverse and globalized content discovery process, where new users and quality content creators from various countries can gain recognition and rewards.

I'm 100% certain that implementing this condition will encourage people to create high-quality content, attract new users, and promote good content in a meaningful way. By taking away the ability to upvote their own region's content, Steam Representatives will focus on finding and promoting the best content globally, which will ultimately benefit the Steemit community as a whole.

  • Important Point is , To promote diversity and fairness, selected applicants for the Steam Representative and Booming program should not be allowed to apply for other programs like Monthly Creator or Steemit Engagement. This will provide opportunities for new people to join and contribute to the Steemit community.

If the same individuals are repeatedly selected for multiple roles, it can lead to:

  • Lack of opportunities for new users
  • Overburdening of selected individuals, potentially resulting in poor performance or fraud
  • Inability to do justice to multiple roles and responsibilities

The Steemit team should prioritize providing opportunities to new users and promoting a diverse range of contributors to make Steemit a great platform. By doing so, they can ensure that the platform continues to grow and thrive.

I'd like to bring to the Steemit team's attention that Pakistani applicants have been found to be heavily involved in multiple accounts, exploiting the platform for personal gain. To ensure fairness and transparency, I recommend that the Steemit team thoroughly vet these applicants' accounts and performance, rather than relying solely on their applications.

A review of current applicants reveals that despite numerous opportunities, they've failed to onboard new users from Pakistan or promote Steemit within their area. Their primary focus appears to be on exploiting the system for rewards, with little effort to genuinely promote Steemit or support new users.

The Steemit team can verify this by examining the performance of Pakistani applicants, who seem to be more interested in showcasing their power and rewards than in promoting Steemit or supporting new users. Their social media promotions appear to be superficial, and they haven't made any meaningful efforts to onboard new users despite the potential for online work in Pakistan.

To maintain the integrity of the Steemit platform, I urge the team to take a closer look at Pakistani applicants and consider setting aside their applications for now, given their lack of meaningful contributions to the platform.

Questioning the Performance of Steemit Representatives

I'd like to ask the Steemit team about the performance of Steemit Representatives over the past two years. Their primary role is to promote Steemit and onboard new users, but it seems their main task is just writing reports. Are they truly contributing to the growth of the platform?

Lack of Transparency and Accountability

Many Steemit Representatives have created their own communities and are abusing the Booming feature to support their own content. They own multiple accounts, which is against the rules, and use them to vote for each other. This raises questions about their true intentions and the effectiveness of the Steemit team in monitoring their activities.

Misuse of Power and Resources

The Steemit team has given significant power and resources to these Representatives, but it appears they're not using them for the intended purpose. Instead, they're exploiting the system for personal gain. This has led to a lack of trust and credibility in the Steemit community.

Proposal for Reform

To address these issues, I propose the following:

  1. Steemit Representatives should not be allowed to upvote content from their own country or region. This will prevent them from artificially boosting their own multiple accounts and ensure they focus on promoting high-quality content from other regions.
  2. Steemit Representatives should not be allowed to apply for multiple roles, such as Booming Admin or Monthly Creator. This will prevent them from accumulating too much power and ensure that new users have opportunities to participate.

By implementing these rules, we can promote a more transparent and fair selection process, ensure that Steemit Representatives are working in the best interests of the platform, and prevent the exploitation of multiple accounts.

Benefits of Reform

By implementing these reforms, we can:

  • Increase transparency and accountability among Steemit Representatives
  • Prevent the exploitation of multiple accounts
  • Promote high-quality content from diverse regions
  • Provide opportunities for new users to participate
  • Build trust and credibility in the Steemit community

I urge the Steemit team to consider these proposals and work towards creating a more fair and transparent platform.

We're forming a team to monitor Steemit Representatives' performance and content selection. We'll publish regular monthly and weekly reports to keep the Steemit team informed. Stay tuned for improved results

Interesting but I like to hear names that you for sure are able to give. More than one account isn't forbidden which is the case with me.
I never upvote myself, I keep my account separate and work very hard for this platform and even vote with both my accounts and communities for Steemians and there are who receive upvotes from each one of them.

I applied for SR and I mentioned I have more than one account and also more than one community. Next to that, I am not tied to any country, and although I run a server since May 15, 2025 I am not filling my pockets. I pay all prizes for contests, I host without booming upvotes or any support. I never ask participants for an upvote (let me change that since receiving upvotes are taken for granted and demanded!).

Like you I am a Steemit lover and I did way more than most Steemians for this platform than many who been highly rewarded from the moment they started.

I notice you have just opened this account (to complain only?) . Can you explain why you hide behind a new account instead of showing your real face, @enamul17?

Greetings ma,

Is it actually a valid information that having more than one account isn't forbidden on the platform? Reasons why I'm asking is because of what happened 2 years back. Users with double or multiple accounts are considered to be farmers which is a serious crime on Steemit. So, was there any change made on this? A user can have more than one account for writing purposes? Just want to be clarified on something to avoid confusions.......

Loading...

There is no law that says you can't have multiple accounts on steem

Yes Sir, I'm aware of this. I have two accounts which I use one to buy and sell steems. The bone of contention is that, can one create more than one account and use them for contents, maybe one account can be general while the other account can be for a particular line of content with the intention of growing the steem power of the account? I don't know if you get what I'm saying?

You create multiple accounts for content creation

This was a noticeable crime some years back on steemit and those found with double accounts are rendered farmers because verification of users can only be on one face with one account. Any user who uses his face for verification of two accounts would be called to case study...This was the scenario then and a lot of users were caught with multiple accounts and labelled as farmers....Now, the verification system is flexible from my observation but that doesn't mean the steemit watchers aren't watching.....

I just need to understand this. I know there's no law but why the implications then and the flexibility now? Was it to prevent something or create an impression?

Curious as well.

Thank you for your concern and for mentioning me. However, I would like to clarify that the @vhiiesya account is not mine. I have no connection with that account, and I have not written or posted anything from it.

My only involvement on Steemit is through the @hive-117276 (Steem4Professionals) community account, which I manage and maintain. I am currently very busy with my professional life offline, which has limited my active participation on the platform. However, I have always tried to contribute sincerely and ethically whenever possible.

I believe that transparency and fairness are essential for the growth of Steemit, and I fully support any initiative that encourages genuine participation. However, making baseless assumptions or tagging without evidence can lead to confusion and misunderstandings within the community.

Thank you for understanding. Wishing you a good day!

Alright, so no connection with an idle account. Can you tell me your little secret? How you managed to vote, while being absent, as the first?

I could use that tool.

I agree there's a lot of confusion but it's also decent if you accuse people to call them by their names instead of throwing mud only and feed gossips while those who are talked about have no right to respond.

Greetings,

I always use tags when voting. I keep the page open by surging the tags in my browser to see and curate the posts of someone who is participating in all the update initiatives of the Steemit Team. I also vote using burnsteem25 & steemexclusive tag. This method helps me save my time and find new posts.

1000023761.jpg

I can't suspect anyone by guessing. I don't know who made the post, to whom, or for whom. I'm also waiting to see what the latest comes out with.

Thank you for explaining. It will be i interesting to see what happens. The votes given also say a lot even if words are not said. Since there are names I am sure that these persons can explain how or what about who nominates whom. A great weekend.

Estoy de acuerdo con lo que dices. Es conveniente no solo señalar las faltas, sino también a los infractores, si en verdad deseamos un cambio para la plataforma.

If you want to point out something, then you should call names and give people the right to defend themselves. I am not saying that everything said doesn't happen, but this isn't the way.
Every method chosen will have it flaws but that doesn't mean something else can't be tried. And if again this turns out to be abused, the only option left is to stop with this initiative.

All very interesting but unless you want to give names and specifics it is of no use.

You have obviously made the effort to create an alternate account to hide your identity so presumably you have no problem with giving more specific details about your accusations.

You also need to work hard on making your posts much briefer and less repetitive.

Estoy de acuerdo. Si existen pruebas que confirmen lo que decimos, ¿para qué ocultarnos con una nueva cuenta? Es bueno señalar a las personas que, en lugar de hacerle bien a la plataforma, la perjudican.

you can see who upvoted the new account.. surprise surprise

Apologize for messaging here.

I believe I have the right to vote on any post on Steemit, and this was one of my random daily votes like I do for others. However, I later noticed that the account was created in 2018, while I joined the Steemit platform in 2021 through my friend. I don't think any further explanation is needed. Have a good day.

Of course, you have the right to vote for whomever you want and like to vote for. But for someone stating he is busy and absent since longer you are very fast with responding. Do you believe in coincedence? And now you show for the second time I am curious about your opinion.

Is there a fair way of distributing booming votes? A lottery or bingo perhaps? Or do you agree with me that if this good intention is abused it's wiser to give up on it?

Steemit inc. or Tron can also decide at Springfestival who deserves a booming vote.
🤷

?

I'm calling out @mohammadfaisal (account using since 2018) for their suspicious activities on Steemit, which seem to involve using AI to generate content and comments. This raises serious concerns about authenticity and fairness.

I'd like to ask @mohammadfaisal directly: How fluent are you in English, and what tools do you use to write your content? Given your history on Steemit since 2018, I have several questions:

  • How many people from your city or region are upset with you, and what's the reason behind their dissatisfaction? many time different people made this issue to team
  • Have you previously reported issues to the Steemit team with evidence that was agaisnt you past or, only to return with new tactics to exploit rewards?
  • Why are you controlling multiple accounts, including @afzalqamar's, to participate in weekly challenges? why same this @akmalshakir

Furthermore, I'm concerned about the Steemit team's effectiveness in monitoring and addressing issues related to reward hunting and multi-accounting. It's alarming that individuals with a history of exploiting the system are being given roles and rewards.

As a Steemit user, I urge the team to take a closer look at these individuals' activities and prioritize transparency and fairness. We need to encourage new users and support genuine content creators, rather than rewarding those who exploit the system.

I'll be sharing more information and evidence in future comments. I hope the Steemit team takes my concerns seriously and takes action to address these issues. I'm not targeting any individual Steemit user, but rather advocating for honest and genuine participation. When Steemit offers significant rewards, why not utilize them to drive growth and help new users? Instead of discouraging others, let's focus on practical work that benefits the community.

There's ample evidence of reward hunting in every community and challenge. Rather than demanding proof, let's prioritize tangible efforts that make Steemit better. The focus should be on groundwork and practical contributions, not just reporting.

It's puzzling that the Steemit team isn't demanding more practical work from participants. Many individuals who were once actively contributing have become absent, likely due to the influx of reward hunters.

I urge the Steemit team to wake up and focus on original work rather than just reading applications and reports. Consider the feedback from users and reflect on the past actions of those involved. It's time for a change. Why don't individuals earning $100 rewards, along with their family members, encourage others to join Steemit? The reason is that they're not genuinely supporting or promoting the platform. If more people join, they'll have to share the reward, and these individuals seem more interested in harvesting rewards for themselves.

It's puzzling that the Steemit team hasn't asked these questions: Why can't they onboard new users from their area despite writing elaborate progress reports? Are the accounts they've created solely for reward hunting?

The answers to these questions speak for themselves and validate my concerns. I'm steemit lover

I think you're wrong and @mohammadfaisal and @afzalqamar are two different persons. I constantly communicate with @afzalqamar as a member of my team. He is a completely real person and as an author has a very specific area of interest.

I'm inviting those who dismiss these allegations to review the content of @mohammadfaisal, @afzalqamar, and @akmalshakir from 8-9 months ago and compare it with their content after they received positions from the Steemit team. You'll notice a significant difference.

I also asked @mohammadfaisal about his English proficiency and the tools he uses to write content. His response will help clarify whether he's using AI tools or not.

The question remains: Is it permissible to use AI tools to develop content? Should individuals with technical expertise be allowed to create AI-generated content without disclosure?

Let's examine their content, language, and native language to determine if AI is involved. A simple question to the content writer about their English fluency could provide clarity.
This isn't an isolated case; more will come to light. The misuse of power granted by the Steemit team has brought these issues to our attention. We know how the Steemit team operates – they often focus on voting power and then disappear. Now, we're raising our voices against those who misuse their positions.

We're not stopping here; we'll highlight every case and user to create awareness. If the Steemit team doesn't take action, the community has the right to step in and make Steemit better. We won't tolerate vote farming or unjust behavior. We'll also speak out against the Steemit team's unjust actions if necessary.

By doing so, we'll ensure that Steemit is fair for all users, old and new. Those who engage in unjust behavior should know that their actions won't be tolerated. If they fear no consequences, how can we bring justice to others? It's time for accountability and transparency .When a Steemit user applies for a position, they often share their application links on platforms like WhatsApp, Discord, and Telegram, asking people to comment on them. It appears that the decision-makers don't thoroughly review applications, instead relying on these links and favoring applicants based on personal relationships rather than merit. I'm steemit lover

Several questions remain unanswered regarding the activities of certain users on Steemit. Specifically:

  1. Does the team allow users to create multiple secret accounts for reward hunting?
  2. Is Mr. Faisal using AI to generate comments and content for the weekly challenge and other posts?
  3. Is he controlling multiple accounts, including @mohammadfaisal, @afzalqamar, and @akmalshakir?

Observations suggest that these accounts are interconnected, with Faisal potentially writing content and managing them. There's also a history of campaigns against him for alleged vote farming and reward hunting.

Furthermore, instead of supporting new users from their region, these individuals seem to discourage them. This raises concerns about their intentions and the Steemit team's oversight.

My question to the Steemit team is: Are these activities beneficial or harmful to the platform? If no action is taken, it may appear that the team is condoning these behaviors. I believe transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining a fair and healthy community. To those defending these account holders, do you know the relationship between @mohammadfaisal, @afzalqamar, and @akmalshakir? Are you aware that Muhammad Faisal often controls and writes content for them, especially when they hold positions within the Steemit team? This raises questions about fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Should individuals with positions exploit their power for personal gain or promote the platform's growth? Is it acceptable for users to create multiple accounts without disclosing them to the Steemit team?

I'm not accusing without evidence; I'm seeking clarification. If the Steemit team doesn't provide satisfactory answers, it may indicate a lack of transparency. Let's focus on discussing how users can address issues with multiple accounts and reward hunting. I'm steemit lover

Do you know relation ship of them , answer yes no respected team or any other @steemcurator01 @steemcurator02

What makes you think it's the same person? When I started my journey on Steemit, my husband did it too. We had the same ip-address because we lived in the same house and I helped him with the withdrawal of steems to the exchange. But that doesn't mean we were the same person. What are your arguments? Now, because of the war, my sister lives in my house. If she wants to have an account on Steemit and I will help her, will you also say that we are the same person?

You shared a lot of info and I am sure that those you mention are adult enough to respond and don't need someone else to do that for them.

I noticed @stmpak.wit knows @afzalqamar very well.

https://steemit.com/steemreps2025/@stmpak.wit/swgxlu

For sure the team is very busy and it's hard to tell who is honest and who isn't.

But hey, I am looking forward to hear the responses of the ones you mentioned and see the proof. Well, if it comes to the Booming votes I already saw who voted whom with in a few minutes after posting but coincidence seems to exist.

I like freedom of speech but also proof of evidence.

Purple Yellow Gradient Smiley Circle Sticker.png

I am back and this time you have my vote.
If it comes to the proposal for reform this could help (note: the SRs will have the booming votes in the future, not the communities).

I slowly start to think that there are too many votes.

My opinion: I consider it more convenient to RETAIN the most active users, give them the Booming stimulus, which by the way I miss .... that so many users and NOT all of them are active, it's like in business, I prefer to have several clients, than simply people who buy sporadically, a client means loyalty, that they always respond to what you offer in fact I could add some ideas.....Conclusion: Having active users makes the platform progress

I agree with you. Active users, commenters, loyal with interest are needed.
I like to hear your ideas.

And that button, how strange to see it there it , you already learned how to place the objects, well, I guess NO one comes to look at you in such a way that you run away hahaha
