Risks of Being a Health Worker

In my area (Aceh), there were still no patients who infected with the coronavirus, but because in the neighboring area there were patients who died due to coronavirus, so our local government appealed to the community to stay home and leave the house if there was an important need. Appeals from the government to remain at home make the road lonely, but there are still people who are not obedient and are still out of the house to enjoy coffee to a coffee shop.

I am, who is one of the health workers, still have to work in the hospital, and today I get the afternoon shift. But this morning I have been doing physical activity in the house that is rowing a static bicycle for 30 minutes. In the hospital, my activities are also demanded to be active, because there are so many patients who need radiology services.

We as health workers are the frontline in dealing with patients suspected of being infected with coronavirus. So we are very risky to be infected with the coronavirus. In Indonesia there are already about five specialist doctors who have died due to being infected with coronavirus while serving patients with coronavirus. And dozens of other health workers are now also infected with coronavirus from patients they are handling. We in Aceh are also very alert and have simulated the handling of patients infected with coronavirus. So that later can minimize health workers infected with coronavirus.
