THE MINDFULNESS KEY

in #health7 years ago

Good Morning Steemian Multiverse!

Often in my practice I find myself encountering individuals who experience all sorts of unpleasantries within their mental body. I often describe our experience here in this physical plane of existence as being comprised of three bodies, Mental, Physical, and Energetic/Etheric. Some would say that there is a fourth , called the emotional body, however for the purpose of this article, we'll stick with the three and place emotions within the mind.

If you refer to my previously posted video "Vibration and Mentalism" We briefly touch on how, to a some individuals who observe the hermetic sciences, will refer to a principal, called "The Principal of Mentalism" which in the Text "The Kybalion" we learn that:

"The all is mind, the universe is MENTAL"

If we observe some of what is referred to as spiritual "law" discussed in today's modern "new age" community we also see remnants of this. I.E The law of Attraction (insert eye roll) which is really just a modernized version of this principal, and two others mashed together, to turn what should be spiritual meat, into a meat flavored milkshake that many have a hard time swallowing down because of it's presentation and missing ingredients.

If one wants to make a cake, can we just toss some flour, eggs water, and other necessary ingredients in our mouth, swish it around and expect to taste cake? I think not. These things require proper blending, proper baking (an internalizing process) and then maybe even a bit of decorating before we have a nice cake to work with.

More on that little rant at another time.

ANYWAYS! Back to the point at hand,

The universe is a mental construct (at least in my experience based opinion.) Each and every one of us experiences our own slice of reality, Our own piece of the Hologram in our own unique special way based upon how the supercomputer that is our mind is programed to run.

Many people have quite a few viruses (see yesterday's post) that come in the form of things such as:

Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and so on.

These Viruses, just like every other virus within our mind, is actually the side effect of another thing. They are our minds way of letting us know when something isn't quite right. The problem with this is, many individuals become absorbed in the side effect (or symptom) of the problem and never actually fix what's causing it, placing them in a perpetual cycle of inner torment.

Remember Steemians,

What the Brain can't handle it places into the Mind and what the Mind can't handle it places into the body.

The side anxiety your feeling, IS NOT THE CAUSE, it is the symptom. Follow the symptom and find the cause. Once the cause is identified, we can then address it and heal it.

What do we do in the Meantime? How do we alleviate the symptom?

Key #1 is learning a skill We call MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is defined as:

"a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique"

When Individuals experience symptoms of a virus, Many times (not all) the virus is actually rooted in the past. Rarely, (again I said rarely, not never) are they coming from an occurrence in the present moment. Otherwise, we would call anxiety danger, and we would call depression, grief, or loss. (loss can be many things, love, esteem, respect, life, friendship, self value) These symptoms emerge after time has passed from the occurring moment and create what we perceive as a feeling, but in actuality is a symptom of another issue you mind is telling you needs to be addressed!

How do we begin to practice mindfulness? (yes it is a skill, or technique and requires practice for some)

The answer is to fully immerse yourself in the present moment. Get a cup of warm coffee, or cold water. and when you fully immerse your senses into the moment, it over writes the symptom mechanism (too much data for your mind to process) which creates a pattern interrupt and causes the symptom to subside.

Feel how warm the coffee cup is in your hand, smell the aroma of the liquid, feel how it feels sliding down your throat, resting in your stomach to nourish your body, taste how wonderful that taste really is. Look at the colors and the contrast of color between the cup and the liquid.

This is how you fully immerse yourself in a moment. This can be done with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. When you cause every one of your senses (or as many as you can, try to work with at least 3 or 4 if not all five) to become fully engaged in the moment, you pull it out of the past, and the symptom subsides.

And the great thing is... The more you do it, the easier it gets, until it becomes a muscle memory function that just happens, you just

**LIVE IN THE MOMENT **

You won't have to take time to smell the roses, because you're always smelling them, and now you are noticing yourself smelling them.

We over time have dumbed down this part of our mind. We've overstimulated everything to the point of that muscle becoming so fatigued because of the screens, and radios always doing the work for us that re-strengthening it can take a bit of practice, but it WILL happen.

I hope this helps some of you, however if it touches the mind of one and does good, This article has fulfilled it's purpose

I wish you all many blessings, goodness and Wellness!
