Paid school fees for 50 needy kids with the support received from the Korean Steem Community.
Most of the kids in that region don’t go to school due to financial constraints in their families. Other kids, it’s as a result of the loss of their biological parents who would have supported them in school.
The main occupation for the people in this area is farming and they mostly grow food for subsistence (home consumption). They live in grass thatched houses, wear torn clothes, most kids walk barefooted.
The following is a video portraying the supported kids giving thanks to @ukk and the entire Korean Community for supporting them with school fees for this new term.
The video below shows me speaking to the supported kids:
There is a school in that region called NEW HOPE SCHOOL which is rendering education service to the needy kids of the region but the school is in a bad state because of lack of enough funds to run the school efficiently and effectively. It’s so because most kids that go to that school don’t pay school fees and those who pay only pay little which is not enough to pay teachers salary and also facilitate the growth of the school.
The Korean Steem Community came in to combat the situation by supporting the needy kids through paying their school fees which in the long run can as well benefit the school and help sustain in its commitment to helping the kids of the region to study and become responsible citizens in the future.
This is an ongoing project that began last year. We began by supporting 25 needy kids last year and now this year the number has risen to 50 due to the increased funding of the project by a group of generous Steemians from Korea. The project is spearheaded by me together with a great Korean friend called @ukk.
The project is still in its infancy but growing very fast due to the commitment of the various generous Korean Steemians in offering support to it.
Let me share with you the photos i took while there:

Im so proud.
Thank you @yohan2on and KR community
Hi Yohan,
can you tell us, how long the children can visit the school with this fee?
Regards, Achim
Hi Achim,
Thanks for the question;
The schools fees caters for 4months time of study. This is the 1st term and therefore its catering for the first 4months of study. According to the Ugandan Education system a year has 3terms of study where each term has 4months of study.
Yohan, Thank you very much for your work!!!
Achim
You are very welcome Achim. Thanks so much as well for the appreciation.
The children are very pretty. Well done @yohan2on
