Good day, Steemians!

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. ~ Charles Darwin

Yoga is an ever evolving practice. What works for you one day might not be what you need the next. It's all about tuning into the present moment and being real with what IS right now

There are infinite ways it can look and feel; just show up in truth and honor and you'll get what you need.

I like a physical practice; it feels really good, and it's pretty relatable--you can reach down and touch your toes any time, without understanding or even caring about subtle bodies or chakras or any of the more ethereal shit. Plus, there are obvious health benefits for maintaining a physical practice every day.

I'm feeling massive shifts underway; obviously the crypto space is about to get shook again with the bitcoin hardfork upon us all, but even within my own life & work/play I'm trying new strategies and streamlining and changing. It's especially valuable to have a stable practice like yoga to return to on the daily when things get really weird or shifty.

Today, I feel like sharing another flow video to a) inspire your own movement, and b) maintain accountability. This one includes a sweet little hello from Eden the dog!

What did your practice look like today?

💛 Sara!
P. S. Do you like this format? My whole point in sharing yoga on Steemit is to encourage others to embrace the magic, so I welcome suggestions for how to best serve the community with my unique skillz.

What did your practice look like today?

I did Paulie Zink's Yin Yoga from an online Yoga portal he offers the course at.

I really miss hot yoga. Bikram was always too intense but a good 85 degree class is just great.

Awesome! I did online videos for a long time, they definitely have lots of value I'm not familiar with Paulie Zink, but yin is super yummy!!
I'm in Texas, and we're enjoying the hottest days of the year. We don't have a/c in the ecovillage where I live, so all yoga is hot yoga for me right now :)

Oh my gosh that was great @saramiller! You are really FAST!!! Hahaha--it's great doing yoga with you here right now. Thanks for sharing your cuteness and you enthusiasm for yoga. It's great to be around someone who is engaging their passion and sharing it with others. Blessings to you dear Sara!!

Thank you so much, @everlove! I totally agree that it's great to be around generous souls living their passions -- thanks for showing how fun that is!!

I'm grateful to be living my life like that--and sharing it with you. You're welcome and thank you!

Wanna try it at home.

Great idea, give it a shot!

It's always a pleasure for me to watch your yoga videos @saramiller, the quick video is really very nice to watch!
Lovely hello from Eden the dog! Love it!
Cheers
@progressivechef

hahaha yea Eden likes to get in on stuff ;-)>

Thank you, @progressivechef! I greatly appreciate your feedback!

Yoga for busy people! Love this cute vid. I think you have a winner with t he short ones. I go back and forth but some of my 1 minute videos do the best.

I will gladly keep up and watch even though yoga is not exactly what I do - call it modified yoga-ish for old, sick, weak people who trip over air regularly :)

Thank you @fitinfun, I'm grateful for your comment. I'm happy to share the modified yoga-ish stuff I know too! :)
There are a lot of ways to make the body/mind/soul complex feel better, even with basic light stretches or breathing exercises. Honestly I think the breath is way more important than crazy poses.

I used a fitness trainer to lose "half my size" a few years ago. He taught me to stretch daily and it changed my life. He called it "yoga" for a few months as he thought I would not want to "just stretch" lol. Any movement is better than none for me :)

On breathing - we spent months to get me to breathe fully, deeply, and at the right time. He was constantly telling me to breathe. "Are you breathing?" "No, and don't ask me again. It's too hard." <<< Went on for months.

It turns out the obese and sick people hold their breath or breath shallowly to avoid pain. This is still true for me and I have to really work the breathing daily. It is probably one of my hardest daily tasks. Off to do a few minutes of it now. Thanks for the reminder :)

You're welcome! And congratulations, that's quite an accomplishment. I too have witnessed the miracles of stretching and/or yoga :) It's pretty incredible what a difference it makes in quality of life.

Conscious breathing is another thing that drastically improves existence, and it's the most accessible upgrade too -- you're already always breathing, all the time! Just keep remembering to breathe meaningfully :)

The song "Hallelujah" has been in my head for many days, and there's a line in the song that says "and every breath we drew was hallelujah" -- could you imagine what it must feel like to really use your breath so profoundly?? OMG it changes everything!!

You are so right. I don't notice when I stop, but I sure notice when I start back up again. The weight loss set me on this social media path trying to help others ergh. Unintended consequences :)

I'm thinking to start this practice, so your post was very useful, thank you!

That's wonderful to hear, I'm happy to be helpful! 💛

Excellent. you have instagram

Yes but I'm not very active on it.
