[Original-Piece] Co-Angels For 90 Minutes.

in #writing6 years ago (edited)

This piece was written twelve years ago, I refrained from editing it in whatsoever way. Was I observing too much?, I wonder what happened back then, or what I was trying to deal with. But I do know I had looked deep beyond the surface, perhaps looking for the boundaries that defined the Emotional Man. But one thing I can completely agree with in this post right this moment, is the fact that "Love shouldn't be like a game of football, no game at all". Time is too precious to be spent, Love is too real a thing to be toiled with. Please enjoy the piece below, it was the pen of a 12 years younger me, and the style of transition definitely had some rust, perhaps that is a good thing too!.

Most times it all sounds like a story, one of fictions and imagination, where perhaps our minds are made to wander in a world of thoughts to make the best virtual picture possible; only to gain consciousness, and realizing that it was never a story, or well it was a story but not that imaginary one we do tell.

A story that has the length of a day's workout, so short it is, but the lessons from the stories are well learnt and never forgotten, then we ponder and asking: "it was only for a short time, why still does it taunts me?". A 90 minutes occurrence indeed, but it was more like a football final that can't be easily forgotten. YES, 90 minutes of being An Angel on the skies of LOVE.

An Angelic state it was, we felt an ever strong Tie within us, our Hearts were without doubts, we were as perfect as Angels. All day, we flew high the sky of Love, and in the evening we would always rest beside one and another and talk about the future, the stars that we would soar together and our wings that we would end up uniting.

We had always maintained the realism of being one? We were indeed very platonic yet we loved ourselves more than couples, the heart-piece idealism we followed and we always ended up with cool colliding hearts and all of a sudden we began to fall apart.

Now, it all seems like fables, a constant lie I did live all my life, My imaginary Self once said to me: " I look at the mirror all the time but she never draws near behind me anymore, and all day and evening I think of those perfect moments that we had together but you seem to be drifting far away, my whole existence reminds me of those perfect times" and I would reply : "indeed, those were perfect times, a perfect Angel you were, sweet moments you did share and warm love you did show, but now you are just a falling Angel who needs to keep on flying even without that special person".

How contrary could it ever get, now there is a scene of broken wings and more of a broken will, we both ended up in a sweet-beautiful but bitter-sore giving game of 90 minutes, now I walk around with these scars and I look at others through the mirror that I have lived.

I walk around and see so many a scene, scenes of broken wings and broken hearts. Then, a sensation captures my mind and whispers faintly in my ear, "infatuation people bear one to another thinking it is Love and the whole story becomes a Saga of 90 minutes every single time". The world no longer know what is love, how could they know, when all they've been accustomed to is a 90 mins game, and then move on.

I get crazy about how people seem to get aligned with a SHE or HE all out of a blue moon, most failing to place their cards well, whether it be calf love and that gives a swift road to a 90 minute journey all over again.

Most love lives are always like a football game, the multitude of us just unconsciously say one to another "lets be players for 90 minutes and we break up after that"- its all waste of affections. No matter how long our relationship goes, no matter how well it swims through the streams of love, no matter how sweet it may be, it all becomes a silly 90 minutes existence after we fall from the Sky of Love, we just become so conscious of the extra time that lives us crippled for a long long time, then we get a marred view of life!.

Love is something we take to our graveyards, 'we never get to grow young, but as true Co-Angels, if only we hold unto Love, then in Love we get to grow younger even when we are by our graveyards'. Play your Love like a ball and watch another catch, you surely wont like the replay, said a good friend of mine, but the truth is; we never should be players and keepers oriented.

We simply must look beyond the 90 minutes field, we aught to be TRUE CO-ANGELS who would fly through the skies with colliding hearts and then would never have to obey the faulty law of 90 minutes. Love isn't something we contract, it isn't a commodity that is sold nor dumped. It is something that is meant to be groomed and GROWN.
