RE: Creative Writing Process From An Engineer's Perspective (English/Turkish)

in #writing6 years ago

As it seems to me, if you wanted to become a writer, first of all you need to get acquainted with your infinity. It is revealed gradually as it goes deeper into the question - into any question. Because the writer becomes a writer. While writing - deepens, finds out his infinity, becomes unlimited in what he writes about. Then he takes on something else, and there he also goes to himself deep and infinite. This is how the whole personality is worked through and processed, and the writer appears. This writer, prophet and citizen. The “real” writer rarely finds a worthy place for himself. There are no prophets in their own country. While they cannot be seen from afar, but the chances from afar are small, and while others are not praised far away, but they may not, the real writer will be little adapted to life. After all, his place is obviously occupied by opportunists of all stripes. He is too real to please the stereotypical mass consciousness. He is too far from the common clichés to be understood by everyone he meets. If you wanted to become a writer, it is worth considering this: “real” will be bad, very bad. Yes, some time will be bad, as it was bad, for example, Martin Eden (book Jack London). Then the ways are different. Who as lucky. There will be a lot of time before luck, you have to do a gigantic job.

Jack London's book Martin Eden was my starting point. As I read it 25 years ago, I would like to read it again to understand why it influenced me that much.
