My Lockdown Workout Progress

Since we've all been cooped up at home during the last few months, I've decided to amp my workout routine and try to build a better physique. My main workout routine revolves around Chloe Ting's free workout programs (https://www.chloeting.com/program/).

To date, I have already finished two programs and already on my third. However, a minor setback because I currently have shingles so I have to rest for a few days 😢

Before doing Chloe Ting's programs, I usually do Zumba 4 to 5 times a week plus one session of Amanda Bisk. I lost a couple of kilograms doing this routine but I wanted to tone more my muscles. So when a friend suggested Chloe Ting's programs, I decided to stick to it because it had the right amount of difficulty for someone who hasn't been active for a long time. It has well-defined workout activities planned out for the day plus the videos are only around 10-20 minutes long.

For a day, you might have to do one video up to 5 videos then an allotted rest day usually after 3-4 active days. The only setback is that it's kinda repetitive and the I don't like her background music 😂 So I usually listen to something else and then just put her video on mute. There is a timer on her videos so I can just follow that easily.

I know there had been plenty of negative feedback mainly on her form and how she explains things on her diet videos. But there are a plethora of references in the internet that you can look up to check proper forms and how other things work. What I'm saying is, you just have to take in the good and weed out the bad. Ultimately, we are the ones responsible with what information to believe.

Anyway, with regards to her "improper" form, I think this is because she shoots her whole video in one take so you can see her making mistakes once in a while, which I think makes her more relatable.

With regards to her diet videos, I haven't watched one yet so I cannot make any comment 😅 Speaking of diet, I did a little bit of caloric deficit but I wasn't really strict in doing it. I still eat junk food and sweets whenever I feel like it 😂 But I do make sure to do my workouts so that it all balances out.

That's it for now. I'll update again if there is significant progress in my physique or I decide to try other workout programs 💪
