RE: Drawing A Line Between Hearing And Listening

in #voices6 years ago

Hey, good morning my friend, how the heck are you guys. There are a lot of sick people in this world and i feel that the real evil ones only hear but one voice.
Had no idea about the escapades of both Bush and Carter. How is it that years will pass and people like these two very perverted sickos can possible keep this stuff from getting out of the bag for so long. This is a very troubled world we live in and evil can be found around every corner. The other night Robin and I had a conversation about the state of humanity. Things are so bad, and I for one feel that it is only a matter of time until it all comes crashing down on all of us. there seems to be very little one can do to change the course of evil. The daily onslaught, reported on every front of these noxious animals can in itself cripple even the most robust soul. My remedy for this is to live my life purposely avoiding almost all news, written, broadcasted, or otherwise. I hate the feeling of not being able to correct a bad situation and we are all just pissing up a rope when it comes to impacting evil and making any headway to eradicate it.
This may sound selfish, but for me, at this point in my life, I only sweat things that effect those people in my very tight circle of friends and family, the hell with everything else.
I refuse to get caught up in stuff that I can't alter, and waste even a second thinking otherwise.
Now when it comes to those I love, I would do everything possible to nurture, protect, support, and advise in an effort to help.
One of the most profound things that was ever said to me was spoken by my eldest son. Not too long ago he said to me that I have earned the right to speak my mind when it comes to his personal life and that there is no other voice more important than mine. When things are not like I feel they should be, I will not hesitate to speak my mind and try to impact what needs to change. Everyone else can go to hell.
I told you that this would sound selfish, but if you can, give me just one example when your advice has made a difference in the big picture of all that is evil. Listening and hearing are most definitely not the same as hearing is an ability of the ear, and listening is the ability of the mind.
Stay safe.

My man! Good morning from UK, Bob, I hope you and Miss Robin are having a nice weekend. I had a few responses here this morning and saved this one for last—I love me some Sweed comments! 👍🏿 Good to hear from you again, by the way.

I didn’t know that about Bush or Clinton, either, I just started digging around online, the same way I did all of those articles, and found those about the presidents. Disturbing ain’t it?? I just think we all should know everything, not just what they want us to know. The wiser we get, the more we realize they’re no wiser than us, they just have more access to more technology for psychological warfare. Too many people praise those guys as though they’ve personally met them or something. 🤔 I just think they should know everything about them before they praise them.

Continuing on that subject actually, since we’ve been here, in the UK, I’ve been asked about three times now, “can I ask you something?” I can tell they’ve been itching for a long time to meet an American, I say “ask me anything you want.” ..”what do you think about Trump?” My answer would be the same if they stopped me 10-20 years ago, just insert the guys name: “I know you better than I know the president and I don’t trust you one bit, that’s what I think of him.”

That’s awesome your son recognizes that. It wasn’t until my mother left I began saying “moms earn the right to act like a mom.” Your son figured out the dad part before his dad was gone. 👍🏿

I’m with you about only sweating the things you have a chance at altering, absolutely. Isn’t it disturbing the amount of things and the magnitude of them that are slowly, one by one, coming to light?

Thanks for stopping by @thebigsweed, it’s been too long, sir.
