And I did not say the buttons are for data consumption purposes, rather I was speaking of the "low data mode" toggle. The functions that these buttons call are not available in the basic mode. So your call to action sends them on an errand, they roam the page in search of the expected function, nothing is found and so they return nothing, hence the page is refreshed with nothing new to show.
