RE: Fortitude and forfeit
Not at all. You can also have stake. This is a POS system that allows buy-in for anyone. There are numerous ways to earn without posting.

We are talking about expressing your words, not stake. And not buy in.
You can be stopped from earning rewards by expressing your words, if you displease others that have a large stake.
....ergo, you are living by someone else's leave.
Which part confuses you?
Seems very clear to me.
This being the case, it is 'power' and not merit that is the driver of the platform.
And that's a crap model for the talented - but an excellent for the power centric, and talent less.
And it's even more crap as a business model, to attract investors.
I earn on my stake without posting, it is called curation.
...this has nothing, zero, to do with earning from writing.
For the people I curate it does. Without someone with stake voting on them, they get nothing. This is a POS platform.
Oh, and if you are worried about expressing your words, stop having the need to earn on those same words. You can express all you want here.
I'm not worried, and that isn't what we talking about.
We are talking about anyone on steemit not being able to write words and get rewards - if large stake owners decide they that should not receive any for their labors.
You either think this kind of punitive action, is acceptable, or you don't.
One of them is authoritarian in it's nature, and one isn't.
As a supporter of the authoritarian system,( and not a meritocratic one, you can't have both),then how do you conflate that to your posts about steemit, steem , the blockchain attracting talent and innovation - both of which which are very meritocratic in their perspective?
Authoritarianism - in the long term always stifles the very things that you post regularly on...unless you think that authoritarianism encourages the growth of free thinker - but I don't see how you would reach that conclusion, not if decentralization the aim..?
(Ohhhh.....the vid I was talking about... (the first one anyway) I picked your thoughts, to a degree - So you will be
in the money for contributing to the whole...Long live the collective, that's what I say!
here's hoping we get lots of Steeeeeeeeeeeeem!
Upvotes will be also be accepted, honestly...lol
