You begin crying. "I know! I know we humans are murdering the planet. I don't want to, but I don't know how to stop. I'm so sorry!" You fall to the ground, sobbing.

The creature, which was baring its gnarled teeth, and seemed on the verge of viciously biting you, looks you in the eyes. Now that you're on the ground, it can see into your eyes. It reaches a finger towards you and a tendril extends a few millimeters from the tip and catches one of your tears. It recoils.

"You are sad and scared." It tilts its head at you. "The trees don't feel, but I feel for the trees. Do you want to feel for the trees, too?"
