Smooth, small, and stacked with memories: My first crypto to silver purchase..

If memory serves me right, these were the very first bits of silver I ever bought using cryptocurrency, back when the Steemit days were still young and full of energy. It was around the time when @pit-bullion had migrated from making videos on YouTube to becoming one of the early pioneers of the Steem blogging world. Like many of us back then, he was looking to boost his Steem Power and decided to sell silver for Steem. That idea was as radical as it was exciting — trading freshly earned tokens for real, tangible bullion. And I bit.

These hand-poured cast buttons are something special. The 1oz is stamped with a pirate skull and crossbones — a nod to the rebellious, treasure-hunting soul that lives in all stackers. The 0.5oz button features a classic anchor, tying it all into a nautical theme that runs deep in the silver stacking community.

Despite their small size, these pieces feel heavier than you'd expect, both physically and emotionally. Their smooth, rounded shape gives them that perfect in-the-hand feel — almost like a fidget coin for the stacking world. I still pick them up from time to time and give them a roll in my palm, reminding myself of how far this journey has come.

More than just silver, these buttons are a time capsule — from a moment when crypto met community, when Steem was booming, and when stackers like Pit were laying the groundwork for what would become the #silvergoldstackers legacy.
