RE: SMALL TRIBUTE TO ALL THOSE WHO SUPPORTED OUR CRYPTO COMMUNITY GROWTH ON STEEMIT
You have to comment on one of his posts and ask to be in the league. It's not just by making comments anywhere. My second blog is in it, but not as active. I got onto the chart once so far with that one and hope to do better.
I use diet called aip. It's a bit like keto. When I am strict with it I do better. But my budget and location mean I eat too much rice at the moment and pay the price. I'm not in a position to grow food, but all the food in SE Asia is far superior to what I was getting in California. That was very unexpected. A majority of the additives in the US food are not allowed in these countries so I do not have to spend as much effort seeking clean food.
It is definitely important to seek the big guys here. Probably more so in your case than mine. I have not made the effort and I feel like I should. I feel happy with the connections I have though and I cannot complain.
Hmmm... I asked Asher how to get into the league and he said everyone was in it. Oh well... probably makes no difference anyway.
As for food, I thought it should be easier to find clean food there than here. But yea, eating rice is a no-no for a Keto diet. Rice is a grain and grains turn into sugars. Practically no carbohydrates are allowed. The idea is to switch the body from eating sugars to eating Ketones, which are made by the liver from fats. This stabilizes blood sugar levels and helps tremendously with diabetes. The science of how the human body works is just starting to be discovered.
How did you end up in Malaysia? I don't think that's a common destination for N. Americans.
I just went off to see the world and here I am :)
Wow! I guess it must be very nice there. Do you need to learn their language? Not that I'm planning to leave Canada, but would a pension cheque go a lot farther there than here? How would you compare the price of housing? A 3-bedroom detached house here in now just over $1M but dropping slowly.
I lived in Thailand for 2.5 years with none of the language and they do not speak English there. I pretty much did not speak for the entire time.
Here in Malaysia the majority of people speak English so it is a different way of life for me now. But people like store clerks might only know the English words they need to know. Others who are educated are 100% fluent in Malaysia.
I do not price housing, but it is much cheaper here. I convert to usd. I currently rent a room in a condo with a balcony, share bath and kitchen. There is a pool and I am walking distance to a LRT Station 30 munites from the center of Kaula Lumpur. I pay about about 150 usd a month for rent wifi and utilitites.
In Bangkok I had something similar for about $300 USD a month.
Food is much cheaper in both places - about 25% of the us cost.
I'm here only to work and live cheaply. The lifestyle is much different. The conveniences you are used to are not here. The people are much nicer than in either Canada or the us.
Thanks for all that information. All good stuff to know.
