RE: steemit copy and paste I don't think so. my first post on steemit, name and shame
If you use some one elses work you have to state it in the text below the image you are using. some people don't even read the blog or comments so if a steemian comes your way and red flags it you can soon loose your rep score and start to loose followers and money.
There are many free sites on the net to get images from such as pixabay, or you can make your own with a camera and using some editing softwear like, Paint.net which is also free to use and pritty simple.
There is also a bot on here that goes and reads what you write and if it comes to your post and see's something on it it will comment and give you the link to the origianl saurce. people on here soon loose interest in people who copy and paste and when that person puts a good post out there it won't get looked at as the wales will just pass them by.
The best thing to do is post origanal stuff and get a good following and go from there. steemit is a great platform to get paid on, its just a shame that some people try and take credit for other peoples work
Good advice and info. Thank you so much.
Forgive me if there's a better way to connect with you. Navigating Steemit is so new to me.
I just read a post: 10 Things Americans Don't Know About Their Home Country America posted by mazenbj. I read the entire post thinking this guy's a good writer and knows what he's talking about. But when I got to the bottom of the article there's a link to the source. Before I clicked the link, I upvoted and followed the guy. Then I visited the author's Steemit page and, after reading his self description, decided he couldn't have been the author and unfollowed him. So I clicked the link and went to the real author's blog. Is this the sort of cut and paste piracy you're talking about, or does the poster's reference to the real author's website make it okay? I don't think it does. What's your take?
Also, I formatted this in MarkdownPad 2 and then cut and pasted into the reply box since I have no idea how to do it otherwise. I wouldn't think this could be a problem. I'm sort of anal about all of this. I just don't want to blunder into red flag territory myself. Thanks.
