Hunter's comment

I think this baby more than qualifies as a cool product, don't you think? :)

Nikola NZT is a fully electric 4-seater, 4-wheel drive UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) with excellent maneuverability and amazing performance capabilities. Built with military applications in mind it's very durable and can handle aggressive terrain. It's also used for work and recreation, including the mining segment.

It blows its competition in the electric UTV's segmentout of the water.

Features

  • 2in DOM A-513 military grade steel roll cage
  • ultra soft, durable seats with 4" more legroom than the competition
  • 12.2" infotainment display (provides you with all the vehicle dynamics and statistics you need)
  • Two 12V outlets, one 110V outlet, 4 USB outlets, LED lighting, factory audio options, Bluetooth
  • Nikola NZT is waterproof so you can submerge it in water and drive out of it
  • Direct Drive: Electric motors drive each wheel which eliminates the use of belts which means no belt slips, less breakdowns, instant power and faster acceleration
  • The lower center of gravity in comparison to the gas powered UTV's offers better control, faster cornering, and fewer rollovers

Performance

Performance depends on the choice of model. There are 4 models to choose from (from weakest to strongest): NZT198, NZT280, NZT352, NZT440.

  • Horse power: 266-590 HP*
  • Torque: 412-722 feet/lbs
  • Speed (0-60 mph): 3.5-5.3 seconds

*NZS's nearest rival POLARIS 2017 RZR XP 4 TURBO in comparison has a maximum of 168 HP.

Batteries and charging

There are three available batteries:

  • 75 kWh Battery (lasts up to 90 miles)
  • 100 kWh Battery (lasts up to 120 miles)
  • 125 kWh Battery (lasts up to 150 miles)

The batteries take between 3 and 18 hours.

Price range

The minimum price starts at $28.900 and the maximum up to $61.900.

Mahh man

This is the stuff they drive in Westworld am i right? Well they should drive these stuff around in Westworld.

Pros:

  • Fully Electric Vehicle, Purchase is one-off and no more worries about gas.
  • Incredible range considering it's FEV and designed not to drive on flat road.
  • Looks hella dope

Cons:

  • Technological Pioneer, most probably will be outranged in 5-10 years so not the smartest purchase.
  • Considerable charging time making it only suitable for once-in-a-while usage.

Overall:

At a price point of only up to 61k USD. The manufacturers have made this vehicle highly affordable to their target market - Safari going, dune hopping rich people.

I support the idea of an FEV offroad vehicle sure. Just can't myself buying one.

Pros:

  • Well done
  • This will have a nice impact
  • Many people looking forward for something like this

Cons:

  • Nothing comes to my mind

Pros:

  • Innovative and interesting design.

  • Features such as electric power steering, 33 'tires, 20' wheel displacement, anti-lock brakes, stability control, anti-slip, traction control and torque vectoring.

Cons:

  • It will be a somewhat expensive product to acquire, they estimate its price from $ 28,900 to $ 55,000.

Amazing product this. It's a market niche for offroads.

Pros:

  • electric UTV;
  • performance (horse power, torque and speed);
  • various batteries to choose

Cons:

  • price

This is great vehicle with amazing features, but, unfortunately, not for my pocket.
