Interesting but do you really believe that Google (not Chinese) is different? Google is the first you should delete , since they spy wherever they ca,n telling you it's for your safety. Interesting how the truth can be hidden and how many fall for it.
You can till cover the cam of your phone (selfie) and only undo if you need it. I do the same and also don't take my phone with me if not necessary.
By the way: I remember how decades ago files were stolen through the printer connection. Alwaysay interesting to see what is possible and people think of to lay hands on your information but... in nearly every way we do it ourselves and share our entire life with the world outside.
Do you truly believe only FB i the one where information about you can be found? Governments leak and everything you buy is info, every payment you make and Steemit is also a part of it. If you want to be safe the best way it to live offgrid, grow your own food, not buy and if with cash and still big brothers keep watching.
As I already wrote, I don't want to be paranoid, and if I were thinking about my security, I wouldn't have many of the things I have on my phone, maybe I would have an old device that I could just put a card on, or not have a phone at all. 😃 I put the camera cover on because I don't want someone somewhere to accidentally see me naked or something else, which happens, because people don't pay that much attention when they're at home, we still don't live constantly with the awareness that we're being watched, at least that's what they've managed to achieve. And we, in poor countries, can hardly even comprehend this because no one has ever shown in our lives that they care about us or are interested in us, so why would anyone be watching us? There is no logic in this. 😂
I am afraid it doesn't matter where you live. It has nothing to do with being paranoid but the fact this is reality.
It's hard to do without, in many cases people worldwide are forced to use the latest technologies all advertised with user friendly and being at your serves.

Yes, I am aware that this is the reality and we have no way of not living this reality. I think that when the rules of the game are like this, we have to play this game, but being aware of them. From then on, everyone decides for themselves what they will do with this awareness. Radical rebellion cannot lead to anything. Maybe to self-destruction or madness, but not to liberation. When we are put in these conditions, we should live in them, and not constantly run away from reality. Lately I often think about another such condition/rule of the game, even more fundamental - materialism and money, which are the basis of the entire organization. And when I meet people who say that money is not important, because they are spiritual beings and are only interested in the spiritual I'm really amazed. No, my dear, if you think like that, then you don't know where you are at all or you are just constantly trying to escape reality.
Anyway, this is a complicated topic, the rules are so simple and at the same time so complicated, because everyone has to discover them for themselves, basically.
It's hard to live off grid and only the minority can or does. Not just dependency of money but also the fact it's not easy to have a place to stay and grow your own food, find people willing to exchange products and skills (although we have them and a giveaway shop for clothes, toys, cds, books, kitchen tools and small furniture also plants for the garden —no room fir big items but messages can be left) play a role next to being registrated and all the taxes that has to be paid (including for owning a dog).
The danger of a communutt based on money is that there will be a reset every x years and it is always the result if bad financial management (my rights would have been taken away long before but givernments keep spending what they don't have), printing money, false obligations to increase the inflation, accompanied by soreasing hate, fear and a world in war.
