Today we had the in-laws arrive mid morning so they could help with couple of jobs around the house.

Firstly we wanted another outside tap as the other two are around the other side of the house, this required a trench to be dug and some piping added to the water connection coming into the house.

Thankfully my Father in law is a specialist in that field and used to do it s a living, he had all the tools which was handy as well.

Before they got here i removed the old letter box from where is was situated.

Then we needed to dig the trench and access the Toby so the water connection can be made.

On the right is the trench i dug which took around 30 minutes to complete.

OK trench has been dug and on the right is a kiwi that sits in our garden.

The tap was connected and fixed to the fence, then i filled in the trench trying to make it as even as possible.

So first job completed!

Now it was time to install the new letterbox my partner brought, cost was $700 NZD but it is quite nice.

So the Letter box is steel and will go rusty orange once it gets wet

After that job was completed it was time for cold beer and relax, we had homemade hamburgers for dinner which were yummy!
