can’t sleep
Cannot sleep without taking Ambien 10mg which now only lasts for up to 3 hours and totally forgot this could be part of my MG. Last 4 months been bad since the hurricane’s here in FL and brought stress, along with it. The trouble is that these pills are addictive.
Anyone have the same issues, as it’s almost something just stopping me from sleeping, I just lie there awake and so annoying and therefore exhausted during the day. I sometimes forget I have MG or try to, but also for whatever reason, my testosterone levels went very low as well which may also contribute to this acute tiredness which I had last year at times. But a series of IVIG helped.
Anyone gone through similar?
Had the same onset – small hurricane on Mississippi Gulf Coast went through to major gMG in 24 hours due to stress (previous house destroyed in a major storm). Symptoms, after several years of IVIg and other infusions, have been reduced but flare up during the summer on the coast. The role of mental/emotional stress and its control without too many more drugs needs to be researched and reported on. My most volatile and sensitive symptom is diplopia, which prevents driving.
I have been unable to sleep for over 4 yrs. I get restless legs too, which does not help. I am not tired during the day. I have tried benadryl, and melatonin. Neither helped. I am lucky if I get 2hrß of sound sleep.
I only take something to help me sleep when I've exhausted all other options. As you can see from https://niagratonic.com/how-to-sleep-fast-in-5-minutes/, there are things you can try before taking meds. Meditation really works if you do it properly. You can also try5-HTP Bedtime Gummies instead of Ambien. It's a much safer option that really works.
