Do Facial Exercises Make Skin Look Younger or Older?
I was asked in a casual conversation earlier today if doing facial exercise added to wrinkles and made you look old, or if they actually help. This brough up an interesting perspective from the person in my company at the time.
I suggested that there are some great facial exercises that help with a range of things, but they are complementary to a diet that supports healthy skin.
Think of it this way when it comes to exercise; use it or lose it. I would suggest some light massaging of the face to stimulate blood flow and lymph drainage.
I also suggested that they do some research on techniques that allow the lymph glands to drain, and consider your diet also. Once the lymphatic system begins to drain you don't want to stop it by eating junk and not drinking enough water.
Adding a pinch of Celtic Sea Sat or Himalayan Salt to your water to help rehydrate. Drink 1L of water for every 22kg you weigh as a minimun every day. Don't let your minimum become your maximum with this goal.
Considering using a natural product like Irish Sea Moss to increase your collagen levels might also help. Seaweed is a great source of collagen will give you some ideas on how to use this.
FYI - I'm going to put together an article with a video on some of the exercises in a few weeks for Detox And Cure which will be worth looking out for.
You could also consider a topical application of a collagen serum, but for the expense that some of them come in at you may be better making your own collagen mask from Irish Sea Moss.
If you are the kind of person who would prefer not to go to this hassle (it's really not that hard, there are instructions on Detox And Cure), I would suggest a serum that is organic and made from plant based ingredients. These assimilation better with the body than animal based.
