German Scientists #2

Science and Germany is a good fit when we go back in time. A lot inventions came from Germany. This is post #2 in the Science area trying to educate the steemit world about Germany - today we speak about the probably most known scientist of the World - Albert Einstein!

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was born 14 March 1879 and is known as theoretical physicist. Albert developed the theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics - the other one being quantum mechanics.

Einstein's work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science. He is famous for his mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2. In 1921 he received the Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect", which is still known as a pivotal step in the evolution of quantum theory.

Being a German he decided to leave his home country based on political developments, while a trip 1933 to the United States when Adolf Hitler came to power - being Jewish he never returned to Germany after his US visit.

Please feel free to write and comment about other great Scientists you know of.

Alter, wie geil ist das denn, wie viel dieser Post einbringt🚨🚨🚨. Glückwunsch!

Albert, hast du gut gemacht

Lieben Dank :-)

If you're interested in learning more about Albert Einstein, there's currently a film series about him on National Geographic called "Genius".

Carl Friedrich Gauss, Johannes Kepler and Robert Bunsen are also famous german scientists.

Thanks for the tip! By the way Gauss was the guy that gave my school his name :-)

oh nice, thx. na klar fallen mir da noch andere deutsche wissenschaftler ein: Werner Heisenberg, Robert Koch, Conrad Röntgen, Carl Bosch, Max Planck, Gustav Hertz, Konrad Zuse, Wernher von Braun, Johannes Gutenberg, usw.

und was ist mit Hegel?... :(

ein philosoph bzw. sozialwissenschaftler. gehört fraglos auch zu den ganz großen.

Sehr gut! Carl Bosch hatten wir in #1 schon, die anderen werden gecovered! Danke dir!

Einstein is a very interesting figure. He fought the establishment and won, he also suffered from a lot of depression in his later years. He failed bringing gravity and electro magnetism together I believe. But well to us he will always be the funny guy with his tounge out revolutionizing the world of science, and I think it is better that way ;)

Everyone knows that it seems

Albert, the great!

Germany have lots of great scientists and they added value to science..unfortunately, many people see Germany in light of world wars...good post, thanks for sharing.

Thanks and indeed - many people see us in the light of WW that is true and i think all are aware of that especially the Germans, Germans are educated the way that national identity is something bad - in my opinion also completely bullshit - some local parties try to tell Germans to be ashamed waving their flag during a soccer game - but that might be a topic for a @politics-trail

@german-trail no need to be ashamed of being German as Germany is among the greatest country(is really) in the world with regard to innovation in Engineering, medical science, philosophy and indeed humanity. I live in Nuremberg area (a nationalized German and very proud)and love it a lot, and know that other country envy Germany so keep your head up , keep bloging/posting positive things about Germany here and be proud of your identity . @politics-trail keep up the greap post...upvoted your Ubuntu post, sehr gut!!!

thanks a lot @charles1 - i am not ashamed personally at all to be German, glad you say this - appreciated

You are welcome.. I restemmed this post in order to share it with my contacts and following you guys in order to be in touch..hope we stay connected and drink cold beer together. Bless you all

Thanks so much and a cold Beer is always good!

you are welcome..I agree

I have written a post about a german movie made in 1943 called "munchhausen". It is a beautiful depiction of the german spirit as it used to/should be, despite its questionable production year.

I am currently talking about cultures and cultural identity in my new series. As a German myself, I might make the german culture might next topic ;), thanks for mentioning me, my trail brother @german-trail

I'd just like to say that Albert Einstein was jewish and refused to associate with Germany after the terrible things they did. he declined their invitations to him many many times and hated Germany till the day he died.

Yep think that was outlined above already - what is the purpose of your comment then? Let me know! Thanks @mwh930
