Germany have lots of great scientists and they added value to science..unfortunately, many people see Germany in light of world wars...good post, thanks for sharing.

Thanks and indeed - many people see us in the light of WW that is true and i think all are aware of that especially the Germans, Germans are educated the way that national identity is something bad - in my opinion also completely bullshit - some local parties try to tell Germans to be ashamed waving their flag during a soccer game - but that might be a topic for a @politics-trail

@german-trail no need to be ashamed of being German as Germany is among the greatest country(is really) in the world with regard to innovation in Engineering, medical science, philosophy and indeed humanity. I live in Nuremberg area (a nationalized German and very proud)and love it a lot, and know that other country envy Germany so keep your head up , keep bloging/posting positive things about Germany here and be proud of your identity . @politics-trail keep up the greap post...upvoted your Ubuntu post, sehr gut!!!

thanks a lot @charles1 - i am not ashamed personally at all to be German, glad you say this - appreciated

Thanks so much and a cold Beer is always good!

you are welcome..I agree

I have written a post about a german movie made in 1943 called "munchhausen". It is a beautiful depiction of the german spirit as it used to/should be, despite its questionable production year.

I am currently talking about cultures and cultural identity in my new series. As a German myself, I might make the german culture might next topic ;), thanks for mentioning me, my trail brother @german-trail
