Dude, I work in the US Midwest... obesity is such an incredibly massive problem... the thing is.. the people I work with don't want to fix it.. they're unhealthy, sick and injured all the time... but the pure delight at having pancakes for breaky and chips and gravy for lunch is heartbreaking to watch... and everyone's kids are exactly the same. Honestly, I feel lucky that the supermarkets are still selling veggies... because I'm the only one in that section.
I hear you. A lot of people say its about education, but 90% of the population know they need to eat better and less, while exercising more. I am not sure what needs to happen to change this.
Hopefully by setting an example of living an active life and eating well will get some of the message across.
