Looks like Poloniex is doing a comeback!
Its been almost 4 months ago since I made an error when sending from a Poloniex wallet to another.
They initially replied really late and after giving them more details about the problem they told me after another late reply that they will look into it. This is the time where I and many others started hearing about their constant issues with customers and where a lot of currency pairs started getting disabled.
To be honest I had actually given up about this transaction, it wasn't all that much Steem (120) but knowing they are never going to reply to it I myself didn't even reply to their last email. That's why today I was very surprised to find out they had sent me an email telling me they had fixed my transaction and returned me my Steem.
Even though he kinda tells me to try again and Steem is still disabled on Poloniex he says "when ready" which I hope means once they have fixed their issues and have the Steem wallet up and running again. The reason I have a lot more hope now that this might happen soon is that they went out of their way to reply to this ticket even though I hadn't spammed them with replies about why its taking so long.
They still haven't gotten to mine i'm at 63 days waiting for 78 steem. I will let you know if they ever get to it.
Editing errors in the first paragraph tells a lot about their professionalism.
Haha, the the ticket was resolved at least. ;p
True but at what cost?
Yeah, who cares about the spelling errors. They got the issue resolved. I'm just impressed that people still care about spelling errors when the response was 4 months late. That to me says more about the professionalism then someone who may have typed up a quick email in a hurry.
Hi @gniksivart, Obviously, the four month delay is the main issue here. I was just trying to be Grammar Nazi to take the things to whole new level. But it's true, I hate Poloniex for they are non-professionals. :D
To me it shows me that their team is small and this guy answered the email on his phone.
I had similar thoughts myself.
I mean that's nice that they finally responded, but Jesus, 4 months? I'd appreciate the sentiment and getting the funds released back and everything, but I'd rather still just stick with Bittrex or another company. I hope that this is the start of them getting their shit together though, and maybe the community can begin to trust in them again at some point in the future.
Maybe they realized that it's time to come back and come back stronger than ever
Hope so! Was mostly worried cause I know a lot of people had big amounts of tokens laying there not being able to withdraw them.
120 steem may not be a lot right now, but one day could be thousands, right? hehe
I hope this is a hint that Polo is getting it together! With the huge rush into the crypto space the exchange had some serious issue from scaling and fending off DDoS attacks. I wonder if they scripted reply? I would hope they clean up their grammatical errors in the paragraph, but more importantly I hope their issues are getting resolved!
Woow a good one from Poloniex for a change... thats great to hear
What bugs me the most in this situations is not the money but the inefficiency they usually deal our problems with. Even though we pay lots of money in fees, exchanges tend to be ungrateful and distant with their customers.... the downs from an unregulated market I guess.
Good luck with that man!
Peace!
If they don't get their stuff together I hope more and more users will realize the power of decentralized exchanges and start using them more!
Yup i agree and and hope so as well! I think that decentralized exchanges are the future!
Whoa! This is excellent news. I have a ticket relating to a similar issue from about 4 months ago, now I'm hoping that I'll hear from them soon.
After I heard all the news that Polo is a scam I took all my coins out of Polo and put it in my wallets and on Kraken and Bittrex I had no troubles by doing so (lucky). I read a couple of posts on different platforms where people said that they had a lot of trouble for e.g. there was one guy he waited 2 month for his 6000 Burst coins to be transfered in his Burst wallet it was written in his post that he didn't got it yet. I am happy for you that you got this email from Polo today and hope that you will have access to your coins soon.
Btw in Switzerland is a town who accepts tax payments in Bitcoins I wrote about it in my post today if you are interested check it out.
Have a great day!

In my opinion the months long Poloniex/STEEM issue has led to a suppression of the price of STEEM. All Poloniex users are terrified of having their coins locked up so STEEM has been missing out on large amounts of volume provided by Poloniex users. If this all gets worked out im predicting a nice upward movement in the price of STEEM.
But, im definitely not holding my breath on that
I will never use Poloniex, Bittrex is far more better and safe as compared to Poloniex.
