For all they complain about liberals getting offended at silly bullshit, conservatives are the first to lambaste people who don't conform to their weird, patriotic, virtue-signalling rituals. Really illustrates how both sides are mirror-images of each other.

As one of those smaller channels, I really am grateful for all of the help you could offer. My channel has been monetized for almost 7 years now! However, my focuses are very niche. So I have around 950 subs. I can't believe, after all of this, I'm about to be fucked for having under 1k subs.
Of course, this is all done in the name of "posting inappropriate content". But there are so many channels with much more controversial content - and straight copyright infringement - that have over 1k subs. So, some 12 year old kid who just found out how to torrent music and reupload it to YouTube could end up doing fine, while I get screwed after making OC for nearly a decade.

Thanks TJ, I'm doin what I can. I might message you on Twitter after I make a few newer vids. I've just been discouraged so I haven't been making vids as frequently lately. Then again, it's not like I've ever been in it for the money, so I think I'll get back on track.
It's why i lost faith in youtube, i'm sticking with Steemit... Here i can post my drawings and all the stuff i do on a daily basis and people like it enough to support me doing it, it's like... The first time ever in my life my art skills are providing me some monies.
Nope, while it's impossible to help everyone, you can still invite them on this platform if they need a little bit of monies. But it's very nice of you to open that kind of opportunities to your viewership, and while i'm part of it, heeh... My content has been ass on youtube, but i don't know what else than my progress on my drawings and 3D modeling / game developping i can upload... i should be doing everyday live development stream on twitch or dlive.

I feel like everybody has forgotten that, for a long time, the Conservatives were the politically correct snowflakes. I mean think about it, these people said that criticizing the Iraq War should not be allowed because it is disrespectful or some bs. These are the motherfuckers who literally CHANGED THE NAME OF FRENCH FRIES TO "FREEDOM FRIES" because the French government didn't support our pointless invasion of Iraq! How much more of a snowflake could you be? You literally can't say the name of a country because their government disagreed with your government?

The real symbol is the obidience of masses of people to an ideology. That everyone will mindlessly obey simon says orders on queue for authority.
I love symbols and symbolism. To me these things are deeply personal. You can explore someone else's thoughts through symbolism in their art. To force a certain interpretation defeats our individual capacity to appreciate our own experience.

Great video, I especially liked the part about the National Anthem, for years I've been thinking and saying similar things, sometimes even toning it down to avoid arguments when I felt the urge to say something.
One time I mused to someone, and it was someone that wasn't even very patriotic, "Don't you think it is ironic that they want people to revere the nation, and when they send kids to school they play the national anthem at the start of the day, they send them to a place they hate and then the theme song is basically a prayer to the nation. Doesn't seem like good publicity."
And that person, not even someone very patriotic, got all pissy and said "If you don't like your country you should find an other" I was like wow, the brainwashing runs deep in this one.
It all seems like many people just love symbols that enable them to group up and divide themselves from outsiders, and then jerk themselves off for how great their group is just for doing that, then on top of that making everyone show signs to devotion to the group.
It's not good for anyone, and it's pretty lame and looks really outrageously insecure... but then again, considering how lame it is, it shouldn't be surprising people act so insecure about empty symbols like national anthems.
