One of my favourite poems (by me )
You walked away as I was waiting behind my door
I thought you'll come around and eventually come back knocking asking for more .
A gentle kiss for the old times sake ..
A kiss so sweet and gentle, it makes my heart shatter and break
A kiss so overwhelming it takes my breath away ..
A kiss that literally makes me beg you to stay ..
I waited and waited , as minutes ticked by
But you never turned back , it wasn't even a proper goodbye!
I run away to hide from everyone's eyes
I'm sick of acting happy sick of pretending sick of all the lies
Sick of being so pretentious
I have to be strong and build up my fences
As I wipe away the tears
A thought forms in my head crystal clear
what would the point be ?
When was I blinded why couldn't I see ?
How could I protect a broken heart ?
Ironically I never saw us growing apart ..
It wrecks me and shreds me deep inside
If I can't even get you out of my heart , will I ever be able to get you out of my mind?...

Powerful! The “it wasn’t even a proper goodbye “ hit me because it happened to me and I was the one walking away to move back to Ireland . Crushing! By as they say better to have loved and lost than not loved at all. Lots of people have never had feelings like that about someone else.
Im not glad you know the crushing feeling because it sucks , but im glad that i was able to translate how i felt and how you felt and how a lot others did as well , im thrilled that you liked the poem , i hope that you will like whats more to come down the road as well 😘😘💖
