The Passage of History in Patterns and Paintings of Daewung-jeon in Bongjeong-sa Temple, Korea

in #photography6 years ago

There were full of the patterns and paintings inside of Daewung-jeon.
Of course the patterns were unique with the passage of the time.

The patterns on the ceiling was impressive.
The ceiling was divided by the rectangles and painted with dark color.
Some letters looking like Sanskrit were written in those rectangles.

The Buddhist statues and the painting behind the statues was so impressive.

A colorful drawing was hung on the wall.

Interesting thing in this hall was the carving about the dragon.
Unlike other temples, the dragon was carved at the end of the stick.
So if not see cautiously, it is hard to notice the dragons in the hall.

Sitting there I was so pleased that I could enjoy this moment.
Our life is the continuation of the moments.
So to live our life happily, to live the moment with happy.

@slowwalker,
The world was inter connected 1000 years ago too! Coz, those ceiling paintings reminds me ceiling paintings of my country Buddhist Temples! I don't know how, but they are most alike! Amazing and this is the very first time I have seen it out of my country!

Cheers~

It's really nice with the abundantly carved and painted ceiling.

very nice what they did years ago

Sooo cute place and lovely photoshoot.my dear friend @slowwalker

Ahhh these are truly stunning photos! Those ceilings are just incredible- what a magical place to sit and meditate a while ❤️🦋🌈🍀🌴

to live our life happily , that is important for everyone , thanks for your meaningful sharing .

@slowwalker, Actually inside of the Daewung-jeon in Bongjeong-sa Temple has more impressive wall paintings than others. Also amazing thing is ceiling paintings indeed there like Sri Lankan Temple. I've seen in my country more ceiling paintings placed more temples. Golden coloring Buddha statues showing their proud and culture much better. Omg....The dragon carved inside hall. I think Dragon was main animal of Chinese culture. Very inspirational photo clicks.

Whenever we enter such place, automatically the unbalanced mind goes in peace mode we feel so calm for a while. Great post @slowwalker I am feeling calm after looking those photos. Thanks for sharing!
