The Best Site in Bu Seok Sa Temple, Yeong Ju, Korea

in #photography6 years ago

As soon as passing through the last gate with the lack of the breathe because of the steep and long steps to the temple, there were two 3 story stone pagoda and the pavilion for the Buddhist drum.

It was strange the pagodas were located in far away from the main hall. The location of the pagodas was unusual. But the pagodas were well harmonized with the 2 story pavilion for the drum.

This kinds of combination was the first time for me up until now.
I guessed that arrangement might be the result of the shape of the location of the mountain in this mountain.
Anyway the location of the pagodas seemed to be the exceptional case in structuring temple buildings.

The two pagodas were as same as Bul Gook Sa temple in Gyeong Ju.
In my view that area must be the most beautiful place in this temple.
Bu Seok Sa was so famous with the one of the oldest wooden building in Korea.
So many people tend to come by this temple to look around this famous building.

But if you enjoy the scenes in this temple, you’d never missed this place.

The first story of the pavilion was the gate to the main building area.
But second story of the pavilion was the place for drum and other instrument.

I had stayed for a while there to enjoy that place.

The fish sculpture looks great.

Lovely photos @slowwalker.

Temples are portals - gateways to a deeper reality.

I think this truth was intuitively grasped by you in the final photo. You chose to tarry a while at that place because your journey brought you full circle to your beginning - the colours of the tapestry and the hanging sculpture match the colours of nature in your first photo. You achieved a perfect oneness and peace with your surroundings. A picture of eternity.

Have a good day, my friend.

The first picture is really breathtaking, I believe the situation of the architecture, especially that two store pavilion centrally surrounded by smaller ones and such impressive 3 story stone pagoda and all of them drown in such colorful vegetation. That is even difficult to think out if you have not seen it in reality. That seems to be favorite place for tourists too. Wonderful pictures :)

All the Colors in the Foliage are Absolutely Incredible. Thank You for Bringing it to us @slowwalker

This place really looks worth it to visit!

Colorful leave in Autumn atmosphere.
