📷 Park Zrinjevac & Gastro Music Fest - 🌍Zagreb Around The Corner
Yesterday I decided to continue testing my Samsung Galaxy S9+ camera by visiting one of most beautiful city parks, the Park Zrinjevac, suited in the core center of Zagreb (capital city of Croatia), and just about 100 meters away from the main city square.
Last week or so, Gastro Music Fest by Kala was held there, and as the park itself is not far from my home, I thought I might go there and mingle around a bit. So, now you are going to see how I spent my yesterday's Saturday early afternoon.
Park Zrinjevac is suited on Nikola Šubić Zrinski square. Nikola Šubić Zrinski was one of the very famous Croatian viceroys. Serving also as a general for the Habsburgs during Austro Hungarian Monarchy, in 1566, with the army of only 2,500 soldiers, he managed to defend the fortress of Szigetvár (a small town in southern Hungary) by opposing the vast army of over 100,000 soldiers led by Suleiman the Magnificent, during his sixth military invasion attempt with the aim to conquer Vienna and afterwards the rest of Europe.
The above photo represents the southern entrance to the park.
At the northern entrance to the park stays, still working, 134 years old meteorological pillar that measures air temperature, moisture, and the pressure. The column was placed there in 1884 as a gift to the city from Dr. Adolf Holzer who was an amateur meteorologist as well.
The park also has its eastern and western entrance. From all four entries to the central part where is suited the Music Pavilion which from 19th century serves as an open-air concert stage, leads the delightful plane-tree-lined walk.
The park also has three beautiful water fountains. Unfortunately, the oldest and most famous one wasn't working yesterday. Therefore I'm bringing you here only the remaining two.

During this Gastro Music Fest, at the edges around the Music Pavilion were placed small food and beverage booths.
By walking around, I could see and hear that not only the locals have been enjoying the time there but many tourists as well.
Some others have chosen to enjoy the park differently, by playing, sitting, laying or even sunbathing on the grass fields in the park.
There were also those who were enjoying the outdoors and the atmosphere just by sitting on the benches placed along the sidewalks that frame the park on the outside.
While this young lady found the lonely spot for taking a phone call in the middle of the meadow right in front one of the water fountains.
In my last post "After The Rain" the photos have been taken by using Samsung Galaxy S9+ camera Live Focus option, while the photos in this post have been created only with the camera's Auto option.
The following water fountain photo, I would like to use as my entry for the Tuesday #cityscapephotography contest organized by @juliank.

Very realistic and wonderful photography
Thank you!
Camera seems to work pretty great and you could not have picked a better place to test it. Zrinjevac truly is a beauty of our city. 💚
Yes - the camera is good. More I'm exploring it the more I like it.
But you should see me there! 😂 - lol
I even managed to take some photos that I wasn't aware I'm taking it, and not to mention taking the videos that I was not aware I'm shooting it. 😜
I had a good laugh when I came back home!
Anyways, I agree with you Zrinjevac is truly a beauty with some special energy floating there always (at least, that's how I feel it).
Great photos @ana-maria, but really :D I was yesterday and today in Zagreb, but I was working so I couldn't even be a tourist :D At least I had a chance to meet my lil sister and hang out with her... Next time I might take a tour of Zagreb with your posts as a guide :D :D
Thanks! 🙂
And it's pity that you were so busy. I always hated my business trips mostly because of that - lack of time for some sightseeing.
However, next time you better report on time your arrival so we can grab some coffee! 😉 🙂
Will apply my report, don't worry haha :D
Yes, indeed, I must say that this park of Croatia is very very beautuful.
Thank you! Glad you like it! 🙂
You should visit it sometimes in person to feel the atmosphere! 😉
Bas sam prolazio ovdje prije nekoliko dana.
Uvijek rado prolazim tamo.
Definitivno jedan od ljepsih dijelova grada.
Opa miki, kikiriki!
P.S.
Off toppic komentar...
i nista nisam nasao slicno tomu.
Znas li mozda nesto o tome?
A ako budeš još šta trebao, znaš gdje ćeš me naći. 😉
It would be great if I speak that language and could understand you. Unfortunately, I don't! 🙁
wow, the park is amazing not to talk of beautiful
Thank you! Glad you like it! 🙂

Samsung phones are to die for. their camera pic quality is so so good
Yes, it really is!
Before I received this phone, I had a chance to pick in between Huawei P20 Pro (which is even somewhat cheaper) and Samsung Galaxy S9+. It was not an easy decision for me, but now I'm glad I picked the Samsung, as I'm really more than satisfied with its available options and capabilities. 🙂
