I don't think she got any response. I imagine her sad, annoying, spoiled, with eyes full of tears... Who would bother with her problems.

In a fairy tale King wanted to make his miserable daughter - princess happy so he promised he will give her and kingdom to anyone who will make her happy. In this case at least poor guys had good motive.
