RE: A metaphor for some Christian thought.

in #philosophy8 years ago

Cool post. I like looking for the metaphors in religions, and the crucixtion/resurrection thing is something I'd never thought about before. Cool thought.

Really like the idea of god evolving too. It makes a lot of sense. It kind of changes god to something that's more peer-to-peer, which in some ways clashes with what you think of as "god", but really it's the most practical way to learn everything and have all the knowledge.. so god probably "should" work like that. We're a part of the process rather than just, like, statically reflecting god for no purpose.

Its kind of like you can have some idea or belief that serves you positively. It's good to take guidance from this (it's "god" in a sense), but at the same time you're constantly questioning and willing to adapt that belief. So what you take guidance from is also what you form and vice versa.

Glad you appreciated the post. Thanks for your thoughtful response. I agree with most of what you said and enjoyed reading it, especially the last part! This part..

This sorta gave me the, looking into an infinite mirror effect.. I can't really put it into words well, but.. I'ma think about it more, and maybe I'll be able to put it into words better in the future. ._.
Thanks for sharing.
