Mark 4:24(KJV), And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

WHAT YOU HEAR
It is part of spiritual maturity to take heed what you hear.

The “what” of hearing requires that you yield to the scriptures to have a deeper understanding of what is taught.

What you hear is actually every thought you apply to the Word you hear and how much you meditate on it: be a student of the Word; take time and read harder on the topics taught; meditate and ponder on these things and allow the Spirit to cast more light on what you receive.

The result is: “The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you — and more [besides] will be given to you who hear” (Mark 4:24 AMP).

“Virtue” as used in the amplified version of our theme scripture is the anointing.

So, the more you study, meditate and ponder on the Word, the more mature IN the anointing you become, as the same anointing increases on your life.

The deeper you study, the greater the working of the Spirit of revelation in your life. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Timothy 4:15, Joshua 1:8

GOLDEN NUGGET: What you hear is actually every thought you apply to the Word you hear and how much you meditate on it: be a student of the Word; take time and read harder on the topics taught; meditate and ponder on these things and allow the Spirit to cast more light on what you receive.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for your Word. I am a diligent student of it; I study, meditate and pray in it as a daily part of my life. The Word floods my spirit and my soul. It is the centre of my every action and response. By it, I increase in both knowledge and virtue. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
