What Groundnut Will Do To You

I've really missed you all; it's been quite a while now. Sure you’ve been great in God’s hands.
Today, after a short break of posting, due to works and researches, I want to talk to us about part of our diet, there’s this fruit many of us take but can’t say why it is essential to us and to our health.
NUTS; they are fruits with edible shell and a seed. This is also edible, and mostly dry in nature. Generally, they have high oil content, and this makes it nutritious to humans and even animals. Hence, they are a good source of energy.
I want to narrow down my discussion to one nut, as there are varieties of nuts, please follow me, as I open your eyes to what you’ve been missing.
This type of nut also called peanut by many, is known for its many purposes, as a lot of things are derived from this nuts. They are fruits also served as snacks. This includes;
Groundnut/Peanut Oil: this oil has a mild flavor and a high smoke point. It is used in cooking by most homes and most of our dishes are prepared from this. Compared to the palm oil, which most indigenous homes use to prepare soups.
Groundnut/Peanut Flour: this is rich in protein and lower in fat content. Hence, many use it as flavor enhancer.
Groundnut/Peanut Butter: this paste is made from dry grounded groundnut/peanut, with additional ingredients.
No doubt that some may develop allergy against groundnuts, but its nutritional components can be compared to none. As it is a good energy giving fruit; rich in fat, protein, carbohydrate, mineral and several vitamins.

#Groundnuts are good sources of tryptophan, an essential amino acid that is important for the production of SEROTONIN. SEROTONIN is one of the key brain chemicals involved in mood regulation. This serotonin may be released from the nerve cells in the brain when depression occurs.
#Groundnuts contains Vitamin B3 also known as Niacin, which helps boost brain memory.
#Groundnuts supplies the body with a mineral which helps in fat and carbohydrate metabolism, calcium absorption, and blood sugar regulation. Hence, groundnuts/peanuts aid blood sugar regulation.
#Groundnut helps in protection against cancer, due to the presence of BETA-SITOSEROL; which helps protects against cardiovascular disease by interfering with the absorption of cholesterol, and also protect against cancer by inhibiting tumor growth.
#Groundnuts lowers the risk of weight gain.
#Groundnuts also helps in lowering the risk of heart disease.
#Groundnuts helps in Growth, as they are rich in proteins. The amino acids present in them are good for proper growth and development of body.
#Groundnuts reduces the chances of stroke; it contains anti-oxidant in high concentrations. It prevents heart strokes by increasing the production of nitric oxide.
#Groundnut aids in lowering cholesterol level.
#Groundnut also aids in preventing gall stone.
Before I close this post, it will be interesting for me to tell you that groundnut also known as peanut is beneficial to our skin, as it helps in making our skin look smooth and look younger and lot more.
It cannot be over emphasized that peanut should be added to your diets; during your events, meetings, placed on the table as snacks. As it really helps even the human brain as well.
