The Balance of Health

When we live in a way which supports our wellbeing i.e. choosing a lifestyle which is balanced across mind, body & soul, we give ourselves the opportunity to thrive, rather than survive...the latter of which many of us are living at the moment.

How can we all be healthier though? If you’re experiencing stress just now, be it overworked, financial pressure, sleep deprivation, physical exhaustion, all over aches/pain or worry about tomorrow, you may, as a result, experience back/shoulder pain, feel over weight, have high BP, eczema, or been told you have diabetes, cancer or depression...& thus may feel anxious &/fearful...asking yourself, WHY ME?

The good news is, chronic illness & disease (such as asthma, diabetes, heart issues, crohns, dementia, MS, RA etc.) can benefit by gently implementing changes across your life.

Changes to consider include consuming balanced whole food plant-based foods (and that doesn’t mean being vegan, it just means cutting out 🍔🍟🌭🍕🍭🍩🥂🍻 and including more 🍌🍏🥦🍅🍠🥕🌽🍇🍋🍒🥑🥗).
If you eat heaps of food made by people in white coats (i.e. made in labs), you end up seeing people in white coats...in hospital. A fun & informative twin duo out there just now are The Happy Pear. They have lots of easy & fun ideas for eating well, including heaps of recipe videos.
Also, see the book East By West by Jasmine Hemsley - it’s just won an award for ‘Wellbeing Book of the Year’ in the UK for more great ideas.

Move your body 🚶🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏌🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🏊🏼‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️🏄🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️ Find something you like & get into it. Make that commitment to yourself...start with just a 10m walk...just take that first step though. A fab guy I've come across recently for natural movement ideas, especially with children is Tony Riddle aka the natural lifestylist.

Begin to calm the monkey mind. Guided meditations are great to help support this in the beginning. Insight Timer or Calm are two apps to check out to get you started.

And if you need an extra helping hand, some support, an accountability partner, extra guidance, then reach out & find that person who resonates with you & your health goals. There are some good people out there to choose from...just do your homework. When the student is ready, your teacher will appear 💛☘️🙏🏻
