Indeed, though is it the people that write history books, scientists and archaeologists that are the problem?
As all they know is regurgitated facts, and they do not like to be challenged, or is it another group entirely that want us to forget, or simply not know? This is the part that intrigues me most. Superb comment, thank you kindly.
