Methods That Can Take Care of Your Nervousness and Anxiety… Part #2

in #mindset6 years ago

Hi, Steemians!

As you may recall, we talked about the importance of overcoming anxiety and nervousness in order to build healthy personal and professional connections in the landscape of society.

In the first article, I taught you two methods that could help with your anxiety; preparedness and logical assessment.

When you prepare for a social conduct, you think about the things that you need to expect from the encounter.

When you logically assess it, you think about the true value and importance of the interaction, thus reducing your irrational fear.

Today, I am going to talk about three more techniques that will effectively decrease your anxiety and treat your nervousness.

The first technique is positive visualization.

Whenever you are due to meet with someone and get yourself a dose of social interaction, lie down on your bed and try to visualize the event as it unfolds.

This might seem similar to preparedness, but it actually isn’t.

When you want to prepare for an event, you think about things to say and things that they might ask you.

The whole process is about bringing cohesiveness to your words and ideas.

But visualization works differently. When you visualize, you literally go through every moment of the event in your head, but in a positive way.

You meet, send and receive greetings and then sit down to talk. As simple as that, you have just gone through the event in your head and nothing bad has happened.

One other important thing to remember is the practice of deep breathing.

As we have discussed in previous articles, deep breathing is a vital part of our everyday life that is usually neglected.

Practice deep breathing and allow oxygen and blood to move freely within the confines of your body.

The result of that is a swift and inevitable change of pace when it comes to performance and self-confidence.

Practicing deep breathing is not just a habit to be encouraged.

You can actually practice it while you are attending an event, and as soon as you do, your anxiety levels will drop and you will take control of your nervousness.

image4.jpg

Last but not least, let us talk about the truth of your ego.

The key is to remember this: People do not think about you as much as you think they do!

People who suffer from anxiety and nervousness often feel like that other people are judging their every word, twitch, move, and body language signs.

But this is only a paranoia that is feeding your ego.

Even though you may be at the spotlight of an event, say like an interview, they are not going to pay that much attention. Most of it is just irrational fear that grows in your own mind.

The goal is to stop thinking about yourself. You are there for a reason.

So long as you deliver on your promise and do the thing that you are supposed to do, nobody cares about the insignificant details that are constantly bothering you.

These three points and methods, along with the previous two we discussed, can effectively help with your anxiety and nervousness.

It is important to battle anxiety, especially if you are looking for a healthy, long, and prosperous career with potential clients.

Trust me on this: If you fight the demon of anxiety, you will leave the battlefield victorious on every level.

A BIG HUG!!!

Hello,
deep breathing is the start of every meditation, as I said in my reply to part1 of this post, meditation can help as well.
Even visualization is a kind of meditation, we talk to our subconscious, let your subconscious know exactly what you want and it will work for you.
Listening to relaxing music can also help.
Have a wonderful day
Tom

Two of my favorite topics, visualization and breathing. Combined, these two practices form a very powerful meditation that can be used to improve you lives.

Great write up as always.

this is very helpful......i mean with visualization, somehow it will make one less anxious being well prepared by walking through the scenario ahead of time and somehow it will give you a glimpsed of what to expect......I remember Mitch Albom once said along the line of 'deep breathing is the greatest man's invention' indeed it releases the stress and anxiety.......@chbartist i wanted to be part of this progressive community.....please include me in your list..........

Greetings @chbartist
Excellent publication

As you indicate, the visualization allows us to evaluate our present behavior and prepare the aptitude for the future.

Deep breathing allows us to release tension in our body.

The ego signals deviate us from the truly important, so we must control the ego.

Good reading, as well as initiatives that displace our comfort zone, will be good exercises to develop better attitudes in life

Our egos and the way we often consider the world revolving around us is definitely an obstacle from us considering our actions that enable us to have success. We must be reminded that we are each individually lart of something much larger.

I think you @chbartist are right saying that people don't think about me as much as i think they do.

Preparation, logical assessment, visualisation, deep breathing and not thinking about yourself are all positive ways to battle anxiety. I practised these today before I had a music session I was nervous about. It actually went really well and I didn’t talk too much. I kept reminding myself about what I had visualised earlier and to my surprise it all went smoothly. Thanks for the #mindset tips, I hope others have tried them too. 🙏

Life is full of competition and because if that we take lot.of pressure in work and in personal life too. Pressure beyond a limit create anxiety in us but I think we should be cool enough and should not worry about anything. We should work with full dedication instead and it will help us. Thanks @chbartist

Anxiety has become along with stress a consequence of hectic and complicated life ... we live in a world that is constantly moving many times very fast and we are left behind. The anxiety for me is to expect a lot from the future without having our feet touching the ground ... it would be great to breathe deeply, to live one day at a time and to enjoy .. to live the good and the bad thing that happens to us ... to learn and fight so that Every day of our lives is worth it.
I would love to be part of his followers. I've already followed him on YouTube =)
