Horses are undeniably clever animals. A study showed that horses can perceive human emotions. In the experiment, horses matched human facial expressions with voice tones.

-->Horses can not only read but cal also remembers people's emotional expressions. This enables them to identify people who could pose a potential threat. Horses possess the high social cognitive skill.
When horses face unsolvable problems they use visual and touch-related signals to get human attention and ask for help.

--> Horses possess high communication capabilities and express their feelings . In an experiment, horses learned to tell their riders whether they want to wear a rug or not. Horses have an impressive memory.

-->Reasearchers trained horses to learn particular concepts such as larger vs. smaller or open shapes vs. solid. Horses quickly and reliably learned the concepts.

They also remembered their training even 10 years later, without practice in between and performedthe tasks with the same efficiency.

-->They were also able to apply their knowledge to new tasks and use the same rules to choose the correct target object.

--> Horses are experts at reading and understanding the environment and body language of humans.
They can differentiate between angry and happy human facial expressions. Researchers showed 28 horses photographs of angry faces and observed both rising heart rates and an increase in stress-related behaviors.

--> The horses also tended to turn to look at the pictures with their left eye which shows confronted with a stressful situation.
Beyond being proficient at learning relatively simple tasks horses also have the capacity to solve advanced cognitive challenges involving condition learning and a degree of concept formation.

Some are very smart. We had a papered Arabian that would get very upset if his water stock tank got less than 1/2 full ( big stock tank). The barn was about 100 ft. from the house, and we would start hearing a banging........ When we went to look, it was Radar our Arabian kicking the metal stock tank!!! He would do this all the time, this is how we knew it was time to refill the stock tank! Smart boy. 😀
...........Resteemed. 👍
