This post is gonna get downvoted
and I'm okay with it, in fact it's the main reason I'm making it. If you happened to read yesterday's post you may know what it is about, and just to not leave this post completely out of content the same way he does and justifies voting on them just cause he has bought Steem I'll let you know a bit on what has occurred since.
Basically I woke up to some new downvotes, all is well, better me than the rewardpool, but apparently he ran out of posts of mine to downvote cause he started going for some of my comments that had made some rewards and then he started going after users I have curated. Wow, what an absolute unit! Anyway it doesn't matter, there are plenty of people that stood up and countered his retaliation downvotes nullifying his voting power and I continued to downvote some of his "no-content" farm posts that were close to payout.
The funny part is that he literally bought more Steem and powered it up now just to be able to do more damage which is sort of hilarious on it's own! If anything, come HF21 we will be seeing a lot of angry Steem buys and it sure will make this platform a lot more entertaining than it has been in the past. xD
Anyway, this is kind of fun I have to admit, we're basically cancelling each others votes out now meaning there's about 800k less SP affecting the rewardpool, enjoy. :3

Welcome to Steem, ignore the downvote wars, it won't affect most users and I'm sure we'll figure out ways to counter idiotic downvotes like these over time.
I understand that with hf21 the number of votes will be significant, that is to say that the negative vote you are receiving will not be as effective as it is now.
Should I downvote it just so your headline is accurate? I don't mind helping. ;)

It's only a "waste of ROI" when its done for petty reasons. If I downvote some fraudster or a leech, I'm gaining. If only more people knew that.

When we talked months ago i had about a 1000 sp. Now i have 6000sp. The more i powered up the more i realised i had the responsibility to try and make things right or id lose and everyone around me.
Time to put that SP to use and try and change the submissive mentality of the community.
Roi means nothing if the price goes to shit.
@acidyo and to you my man.... dont go soft. Losing roi over a mistake should hurt but losing it over doing the right thing... hardly stings as much.

I've used my downvotes often. Now I'm also involved with the fresh start that is 'tribes.' These days I'm looking for abuse, when I have the time(keep in mind, dude, I spend HOURS working on my blog, creating that art); trying to prevent abuse before it gets out of hand within these 'tribes' I'm involved in. I also spend a lot of time upvoting, not for ROI, but to help these people find some measure of success.
Yes, I've said my piece, countless times.
Im talking about cleaning the trending page. 2-3 dollar abusers are small fries.
The guys that drain the reward pool on a constant basis with thousands of USD worth of upvotes taking trending page spots every single day.
Folks that no one will touch like zaku, hatu, chbartist, murat... that feed the bot owners. Guys that are top earners on paper on Steem.
Everything else is a distraction.
