How to get out of depression and failure
Depression is a very debilitating experience, making the sufferer sink into the depths of despair and hopelessness. At such times, life is entirely meaningless. Depression whispers the fact that you are a total failure and will never amount to anything in life.
This dominant negative emotion has driven many to become alcoholics and violent individuals, and there is no shortage of news about people seeking suicide as the only way out of depression.
Failure, on the other hand, may be defined as the dearth of success, though that definition may not apply to you. It could be anything work-related, but it is usually a mistake that makes you start feeling incompetent. But failure may be defined as letting yourself down in many ways; in business or personal way of life.
Failure can also take an emotional toll on you, and these negative feelings may lead you to fall into depression. Most of the time, however, people who fail tend to bottle up their feelings while allowing the creeping negativity to cloud their minds.
But no matter how dark the night becomes, there is always daybreak to look forward to. No matter how dark a tunnel is, there will still be light at its end.
Here are some of the ways you can use to get out of depression and failure, thus getting your groove back and getting on with a life full of zest and hope:
Set some time aside
It is completely fine to hit rock bottom, everyone does at one time or the other in life. But do not ignore whatever happened. Therefore, set aside some time to vent your feelings. It is advised that you take yourself off to somewhere private so that your friends or family don’t bear the brunt of your feelings. It could be as little as an hour, or it may take several days.
Talk about the situation
It is vital that you take the load off yourself by talking to someone about it. It is no longer a secret that talking about issues tends to make depressive people feel better. It is better to find a specialist who will help you to feel better after you have poured out your mind. But even if the person you are talking to is not a psychoanalyst or specialist, it will do you a lot of good to divest yourself of the information that has beclouded your mind.
Never allow it to be part of your personality
Just because you failed at achieving success at a particular endeavor is not enough to label yourself a failure. There is a weak and blurry line between making mistakes and the person that makes mistakes. Only our actions define us, and not our failures. It is the actions you follow that takes you past shortcomings towards success that defines you at the end of the day.

I had Anxiety and Depression for a year. I'm still anxious but not depressed anymore.
I thought everything is cancer. when I felt in my body and whenever I was sick I thought it was the worst thing possible.
I thank god that I started seeing Psychologist, It cost a lot of money, but how can you price your mental health? even if it was 10x expensive I would have still go.
I started taking Sertraline as well which helped me a lot!! I'm still taking it but I'm going to lower the dosage soon.
I even wrote a whole post about my anxiety and depression, what it cause me and how I dealt with it. it's a really important thing to talk about.

Solid content @jwolf! I strongly agree with you that simply because you might have a history of depression, nothing is gained by identifying yourself as depressed person and thus putting that label on yourself.

Thank you so much for this and i am definitely resteeming so people can learn from it. Sure, failure most times lead to depression and having bottled so much in without venting or a friend to relate it with could be really damaging. More reason we should stay close to people who matter to us and ease the burden on anyone who is close to us that has hit rock bottom. A little bit of care, love, support and assurances would help a whole lot too. We all need to know sometimes that everything will be fine and whatever it is that happened won't make people think too less of us. Thank you for sharing this.
