RE: Just got handed a wad of cash... Now what?

in #life7 years ago

Wait... do you mean they had made you an error and were rectifying it with the cheque or that giving you the cheque was an error... in which case you might be in some trouble if you don't give it back?

Sort:

There was an error on my taxes that was missed and they gave me the cash. Checked it out. It was all legitimate.

Sweet. And hooray for saving. This morning my wife said, "Do you want a croissant?" And I said, "Nah, I'll have toast." And toast is, like, $2 cheaper than a croissant, so I put $2 more dollars into cryptocurrency, and someday we'll be able to buy a house.

Keep working it, man. I am just plugging away bit by bit.

Good luck with the saving! I do post a lot of tips on my Steem account and on the blog if you are interested. I know it can e a real pain, but it is so worth it in the end.

:) I take great joy in saving, actually. And in being the weirdo who would rather eat someone's trash than buy a meal. :P I really do prefer a half-eaten sandwich to fresh fries.

I worked for a catering company for years. Spent that time eating a lot of scraps...

Other people's food just always tastes better. Probably because it's free.
