Vlog 277: Steem blockchain grows organically + Weiss Rating + Steemia, another new mobile app + Steempress.
The amount of development on the steem blockchain is ever increasing.
Another mobile app has been released and it's called Steemia.
Just like Esteem and bSteem, this app will allow you to access the Steem blockchain on your mobile to read, create and curate content.
Sadly I haven't been able to test it because it's Android only for now, but an iOS version is on its way.
The main point here is that Esteem been the leader for years, but in the last month 2 new mobile apps have been released.
What an increase in development on the mobile front!

We do take beneficiare because we pay servers and there is not way at the moment for us to pay it on our own. However, just 10% (or less depending on the bill) will be used to cover the development of the application while the rest will be used to power up our bot voting account to give back to the community what we take.
Our goal is not to growth alone. We want to growth with you!
What I've noticed is that there are lot of users that don't know about beneficiares. We wanted to be transparent and stated this in the introduction post unlikely another projects. Some of the projects over the blockchain do take 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%. Even, there are some that also take beneficiary from comments (which I feel it is like an abuse).
Most of the users that asked me about this percentage and how this will be charged, they didn't know that those apps they use actually takes beneficiare.
I don't mind beneficiary rewards because I know they pay for development.

We now have different ways to access the steem blockchain that's good as the competition will make the providers of the various steem apps put their best foot forward.
Mark is it just Me or am I surprised that you of all people don't own an Android Phone too. Being that you are a part of Block Brothers I am surprised with your background that you don't have both kinds of Smartphones so you can test out both sides................@exyle

I've never really used any of the mobile apps for Steem, I still prefer the regular old desktop. But one thing I've noticed when checking out the Steemia introduction post is that they charge a 15% fee from each post made.
Is this common practice with all the Steem mobile apps and alternative interfaces?
It depends per app/frontend. I don't mind it because it pays for development.

We do not want to growth alone but we want to growth with all the community. I wish I can remove the beneficiare from the app. However, servers need to be paid in order to deliver content easily :/
