RE: Vlog 277: Steem blockchain grows organically + Weiss Rating + Steemia, another new mobile app + Steempress.

in #life7 years ago (edited)

I've never really used any of the mobile apps for Steem, I still prefer the regular old desktop. But one thing I've noticed when checking out the Steemia introduction post is that they charge a 15% fee from each post made.

Is this common practice with all the Steem mobile apps and alternative interfaces?

It depends per app/frontend. I don't mind it because it pays for development.

Hello,

The 15% from our app will be distributed in the following way:

  • 10% will be used to cover development cost which includes server + cloud storage for assets.
  • 5% to power up our voting bot to give back what we take from our users.

We do not want to growth alone but we want to growth with all the community. I wish I can remove the beneficiare from the app. However, servers need to be paid in order to deliver content easily :/
