RE: SLC22-W5/ GENDER VIOLENCE

@aviral123, thank you for your invitation!

The topic you've raised is indeed a significant issue affecting people globally, but I believe there’s a critical aspect that deserves more attention: gender diversity. While we often discuss violence against women, we must also acknowledge the challenges faced by the LGBT community. They endure immense hardships in society, often marginalized and treated as if they’re from another world.

I encourage you to read about Manabi Bandopadhyay, the principal of Krishnanagar Women's College. Formerly known as Somenath, she was born male and has fought tirelessly to claim her identity as Manabi Bandopadhyay. Her journey is an inspiring testament to resilience.

When we address violence, we have a responsibility to explore all dimensions of the issue. There’s much more to consider, and I appreciate how you highlighted and elaborated on this important subject. Best of luck moving forward!

I completely agree with you that in society there is always talk of atrocities against women. But these atrocities can happen to anyone of any gender in any situation. They are always ignored. If a woman sheds tears, then the man is always held responsible. Sometimes women can also be wrong. I have no hesitation in saying this, because the laws made by the government are for the protection and rights of women. Sometimes women take wrong advantage of them.

I will definitely read about the struggles of Manabi Bandopadhyay ji.

Best wishes
