How Viuly Works

For a hands-on demo checkout our Alph Version

Authors sell access to their premium content, receive donations from subscribers, and earn revenue from ads in their videos, similar to Patreon, YouTube, Twitch and other video content sharing platforms.

What's different about Viuly is that when users watch free videos, they get rewards too.

Advertisers place ads and pay directly to our users. There is no middle man to interfere with how advertising budgets are distributed among users and content creators.

I know. It's a game changer right?

But wait, there is more...

Because Viuly is decentralized, all payments are executed automatically in VIU tokens and the transaction history is stored on the blockchain, very similar to steemit curation or DTube, but without the upvoting process.

VIULY tokens (VIU) are based on the Ethereum blockchain smart-contract and represent the main tool for transferring value between advertisers, content creators, and users.

Take part in our pre-sale today and enter the huge multi-billion dollar video sharing market to decentralize video sharing and put power back in the hands of content creators and their audiences forever.

I wouldn't necessarily consider it a scam just because the concepts are similar and the names are similar. If you have proof of scam or further information, please share it...

The Viuly project has been announced for quite some time....
From what I noticed, View.ly was announced after the Viuly announcement was made.

So, it really depends on which side you support.
Apple/microsoft/mac are very similar companies with similar objectives but are legitimate projects.

Just because it presents competition to the project you support, doesn't justify calling it a scam.

Your name sounds like Viewly.
You copied the structure from Viewly.
Your advisors are listed against their will. Some of them have sent you notices to remove them from your website.
You have paid shills creating fake impression of activity.

The Viuly project has been announced for quite some time....
From what I noticed, View.ly was announced after the Viuly announcement was made.

Not true. Viewly has been announced on July 13th. The wayback machine has a snapshot of view.ly from Aug. 24th. Yours does not exist.

You registered viuly.io/telegram on Sept 14th, and announced the ICO for 2 weeks later (originally targeting Oct 1st, changed to Oct 10th after we announced our sale would be in the first week of Oct).
According to the whois history, viuly.com domain changed registrant entity from Australian to Russian on Sept 13th. Bitcointalk thread Sept 20th.

Final Words
You have only "raised" $15,000. You would probably have had a better chance if you didn't try to be like Viewly, but ventured out with your own legitimate thing.

Hey Wait a minute!!

"You, Yours..."
Please don't refer to me in any way to be associated with this project.

I simply asked for proof before you go on a rampage scam accusation...

Your advisors are listed against their will. Some of them have sent you notices to remove them from your website.

That is concerning and a big red flag that I am checking into right now.

You have paid shills creating fake impression of activity.

Yup, that is more than obvious

Last words: Your probably right, but it's best to present evidence firsthand. In my first opinion, it seemed reasonable that users supporting view.ly would be upset of a competitor posting on Steemit, which as we all know, has shown great feedback for that project. But that is some pretty damning evidence to check into.
Once again: I'm not supporting Viuly.com and neither am I supporting View.ly so I'm completely biased in my opinions

I apologize for addressing you as part of the project. So far, the only responses we got were from the people affiliated with it.

Here is a response from the Viuly.com CEO

I'll try to answer with a shot message.

@furion is a liar!

  1. Viuly.com domain name owned by our CEO from 2014 !
  2. Viuly.com has Different structure and concept from View.ly
  3. Viuly.com is a registered legal project (Viuly Media LTD in Estonia)
  4. We have an alpha working. Check it out. It's a completely different concept and platform.

Our lawyer on this issue now. View.ly and its founder members will answer for calling as a scam in the court.

Or you can just answer his seemingly legitimate claims above^

@officialfuzzy I am only responding because you commented.

What claim that the names are similar and that the concepts are similar? So is DTube, and I am sure plenty of other platforms. There are distinct differences however and when it's all said and done all video platforms will be decentralized. Ours provides more rewards to our community as a whole and our coin has a lower cost for entry = FACTS

At the end of the day, we are a legitimate company, with legitimate tech, providing a legitimate value proposition to our community, and @furion despite being a respected content creator and member of the steemit community also clearly has vested interest in the success of Viewly , which means his claims have malicious intent.

Regarding the website domain nonsense. That is just business, but out of respect for the steemit community and you I will provide clear and transparent insight into it once and for all. We have owned our domain and been working on our platform since 2014, but transferred our domain temporarily in September to an investor to oversee the ICO process. Once the ICO is over the domain ownership is transferred back to us.

Here is the proof

The fact that we even have to go this in-depth is both pathetic and I guess a testament to the steemit community's due diligence.

Can we leave it at that or do we have to address more lies? When they go low, we go high, but please don't doubt we have more proof of corrupt sleazy practices by Viewly and @furion trying to hurt our ICO (IT'S INSANE).

We rather let the tech talk, and it will.

You haven't addressed any of the concerns above, but are rather steering the narrative with pointless distractions and ad-hominem attacks.

For one, why did you name your project Viuly which sounds like Viewly?

You show up out of nowhere, and somehow we should believe its just a coincidence that you:

  • have the same sounding name
  • are addressing the same opportunity
  • also have the Alpha (although ours actually runs on the Steem blockchain and uses IPFS)
  • happen to have an ICO at the same time

@furion we now understand why you have been so adamantly attacking us. We were not aware that you were actually the creator of the viewly platform. The name issue was addressed above with documentation showing we have had our domain name since 2014 not in any way to be like your site (which didn't exist yet), but because English is not the only language in the world and for our initial target demographic "viu" instead of "view" was more adequate, case in point:

As for our relation to steemit, since the announcement, we have been working with our development team to see how smart media tokens could be integrated within our platform to provide even more value to users. This is why we decide to join the steemit community. However our main focus has always been to be a Patreon on the blockchain not a viewly.

An ICO "at the same time" would be on the same day, and our ICO is not running on the same exact day as yours. The final factor is there is enough space in this market for plenty of similar projects, but in no way is our platform exactly similar to yours...JUST TRY OUR ALPHA.

Finally, as you are a content creator, and seem to love trolling the fuck out of us, we invite you to host your content on our platform since you are already familiar with its structure. We think you would adapt to it nicely.

Best Regards,
Your Friends at the Viuly Team

P.S.
Perhaps this Medium Article would put some of your concerns at ease.

Also please don't be afraid to join our Telegram Community. Our fast growing group of loyal fans and investors would love to hear what you have to say.

I decided not to invest Viuly after reading @furion's comments. I will wait until what happens in court. Please LMK so that I can invest later.

Thank you for clarifying it.

Hello @furion

DON'T YOU MEAN VIEWLY IS NOT THE REAL VIULY?

From the very beginning, all of our competitors tried to accuse us of being their clone. We didn't react at all and did not allow ourselves to attack competitors in their threads on the bitcointalk forum, in chat rooms, etc. But this case has gone beyond all the limits of decency and we will answer.

We can not be someone's clone for several reasons:

  1. our domain name Viuly.com has belonged to us since 2014. It was not bought a few months ago.

  2. We have been working on our project for over 7 months and our fully working alpha will be released in the next few days.

  3. We discovered the whitepapers of all our competitors so brazenly attacking us, and found nothing in common, except for using IPFS protocol for file storage. But I want to note that to date, all projects related to the storage of files, use IPFS protocol, since this is the only real and working solution in the blockchain industry. So it is logical that our project uses IPFS protocol for the video file storage.

  4. As for accusing us of cloning, what did we clone? We have a completely different concept and logic behind the project:

a) We pay our users for viewing the video
b) Advertisers have the opportunity to add their ads and pay VIU tokens to the video authors and users directly, without intermediaries.
c) We give our content creators 4 streams of income: advertising revenue sharing, sales of their premium content, subscriptions to their paid channels and receiving tips.

None of the above is available online on any other platform to date. Absolutely all competitors try to solve just one problem, while we approach the issue in a comprehensive manner and solve all the existing problems of centralized video platforms.

@viuly - I had just bought into the view.ly pre-ICO token sale after seeing a Steemit post about it. I love YouTube, Steemit, Quora and Ethereum as well as the overall concept of decentralization and cryptocurrency.

I then stumbled across the Viuly ICO sale and was very confused. I then read some of some of the comments from people 'trashing' your ICO sale and others speculating about 'this scam' or 'that scam' and then I had stumbled across this thread.

I am now under the belief that both platforms are essentially decentralized video sharing platforms and they are both real. The token sale dates were within 1 week of each other but neither of them are scams.

I appreciate your level of professionalism in handling the above mentioned scuffle and may want to invest in Viuly as well as View.ly which I have already invested in.

I understand that if I ask someone directly affiliated with View.ly, I will probably get an unpleasant response based on the demeanor of their representatives. Besides a more aesthetically pleasing alpha product and a seemingly more professional staff- can you please tell me what makes Viuly different (or in your opinion, better) than View.ly?

I'm really curious now after having read the back and fourth above.

Right on! Cool.

Awesome, at least I can open the page, unlike Dtube, the page doesn't even open on my safari. Just registered a new account with you guys now and will keep an eye on it.

interesting will definitely i will probably cheek this

Well, it appears I need to do a lot of research into this matter. Maybe there are some professional conflicts here. But . . in the end research is key. I wasn't originally going to invest in this ICO . . and if I do change my mind, it would be after a period of intense personal research.

The same criteria I use to invest in other Initial Coin Offerings.

I do appreciate the conversation here. I would also not just take someones word that this is a scam or copycat. There are people with motives every where in the crypto-space.

But there are also scams every where. My advice: Always be wary, Always research. Only invest what you can afford to lose.

Good to go!! 👍👍

soy nuevo nos seguimos?

Viuly is smart with their business 40% token bonus is pretty cool to my rating huh!
