Welcome to Steemit! Hopefully it can re-awaken some early facebook days nostalgia. I like being able to click on the new content button and find random posts from all over the world. The internet is an international community, so let's stop creating algorithms that restrict to country zones. Also, our participation is worth money, without it social mediums die. Recognising this is one of the first steps to self empowerment on a social media platform.

I come from a history or activism and I have activist friends on facebook, they still use the damn shit. But one day, we can hope, people will put their internet use where their mouth is and assist in creating an equal internet where creativity reigns and free speech is king.
