What You Think, You Become
The Mind is everything: what you think you become.
What are your innermost desires?
Do you want to maintain all the beauty of your younger years? Do you want to become successful? Do you want to build an empire? Do you want to attract a soulmate?
For you to achieve your innermost desires, you need need to become what you desire. Embody all the qualities, skills and characteristics of what you see. See yourself as having already achieved that, making no room for unclean thought, and you will externalize them in your body.
If for example you want to remain forever young, in the degree that you keep young in thought will you remain young in body. As you build your mind, you build your body, and the body will also build your mind.
There is the saying: Seeing is believing. Whatever you see in yourself will manifest in reality. You are continually building, and so externalizing in your body conditions most akin to the thoughts and emotions you entertain.
Like attracts like. Your particular kind of thought connects you with a similar order of thought from without. If it is bright, hopeful, cheerful, you connect yourself with a current of thought of this nature. If it is sad, fearing, despondent, then this is the order of thought you connect yourself with.
As you start the new year, strive to wake up each morning and visualize your ideal life. Look for clues and glimpses in your day as having achieved that goal. The universe is full of clues. At the end of the day, be grateful for all the glimpses you got and be assured that more is on the way, until you don't have to look so hard to find the glimpses. You will have manifested your reality!
Very true, I once heard that if you play stupid games you will win stupid prizes, couldn't agree more.
Great post!, I have always admired the mindfulness practiced by Buddhist monks, altering their mindsets to achieve incredible fits. Whatever one puts their mind too, they achieve.
There is even a simple practice that you can start...And that is eating your food, being keen on the different flavours in your mouth; and being grateful with each bite because you are privileged to have a full meal since there are some people who are starving. Just looking for the gift in the most ordinary things will make you aware of how blessed you are!
