RE: What’s Really Happening on Steem?

Dear @chriddi, Iunderstand what you mean with saying that people should look what they do themselves, that is right. The same time I understand the goal of the post of @xpilar, he always strived to create an environment where people feel not alone. It is true that our community was more active from point of view of comments from moderators and I remember many including myself spending hours on daily basis searching users, writing replies, giving some hints where I could.

If to look for the reasons what has been changed I will speak only for myself:

  • it is 8 years since we joint and if initially we motivated to be active and do everything to be rewarded because of high Steem price and that time our little Steem Power, where we were trying to do everything to be seen slowly but surely that dream faded off. Now we have collected out SP but despite of what is happening now on Steem from Investors or Development it does not make Steem price to go up.

  • as @xpilar mentioned, he is a long term investor who is supporting Steemians and their projects, he is giving Upvotes, he is running competitions since he joined and giving away Steem as Prizes but also he is running still WOX-helpfund and giving away Steem to the users who need. The same like him, we were running @art-venture for few years and give aways Steem as prizes too. It is sad that users often decide to withdraw steem instead of to grow SP

  • the other reason, my professional field of work, that now I have more clinical activities and responsibilities that take majority of my time and my commitment. That is now my priority and I even at home I have to work on some staff.

I can only say that in this case "the head of a fish" is the most lively and fresh and trying to do its best to encourage people around :)

Well then, everything’s just fine — since we all seem to understand each other’s intentions… 😉

Oh Karly, how many hours have we spent over the years discussing all these points? And honestly, you don’t need to keep emphasizing what you or Xpilar have done for Steem. You’re speaking about the past - and so am I, because I’m simply tired now too.

Everyone has their personal reasons for doing what they do, or for stopping. That’s normal, we all change and evolve. Whether someone else approves of that evolution really doesn’t matter - and I mean that completely without judgment.

Just one more thing: The fish metaphor wasn’t aimed solely at Xpilar. It applies to all “influencers.” And yes, I include both you and myself in that category (and especially those that almost everyone follows like some kind of salvation: the Steemit Team). I just elaborated on it a bit more when addressing Xpilar.

Have a lovely Sunday,
Christiane
