Hello my dear Steemians,

From today on I have very busy days and it is one of the most exciting events in Edinburgh in capital of Scotland. This event is dedicated to Diseases of Gullet involving many specialities: physiology and diagnostic, gastroenterology that treat conservative the diseases and of course, surgery and also oncology.

This is a World Congress, so we have had lecturers and visitors from all over the world, there is an intense program for three days with early start from 8 AM till 5PM. Today on Sunday it is a first day so many arrived late yesterday that is why it was not very strict to be at 8:00

When I checked for train tickets for today Sunday, I was surprised to find that the first Train was at 8:20 and it was nothing earlier, which is very unusual I never travelled on WE with train usually with car but now I know for future, never again. For Monday and Tuesday there is no problem so we can take train at 7 to arrive at 8Am to Edinburgh.

With train to Edinburgh

We are lucky that we live close to Edinburgh, usually with car it takes about 30-40 minutes. I decided to take a train because it was easier and quicker. Train station is close to our home, it is almost 5 minute away. Usually take either 40 or 50 minutes there are two types of train one is with 4 stops and another with 10 stops, the Venue of Congress is very close to the train station just about another 5 minutes by foot.

That is early morning 8:10 and departure is 8:20 so enough time yet.

Our train station is small but very cosy, it is it is covered and have some benches so when it is cold and rainy it is nice and warm.

It was relatively empty today so we had nice time on fresh air til the train arrived.

The journey is only spectacular when it is driving over the bridge overhanging water and connecting our country Fife and Edinburgh

Attending the Lectures

Like I mentioned before, my train was late so after arriving at 8:30 the congress is already started so that after quick registration I joined the lecture of the subject that I was interested in. There is a benign condition and we often see it during our Endoscopy that is why I was very interested to find out what is nowadays the practical advice of investigations and also treatment. Nowadays there are not many printed materials, but it is common that we do snapshots of interesting slides, for example like this one where we have images, classification of severity of condition too.*

You can see that the lecture hall is very comfortable with some armchairs that was very comfortable.

I was nicely surprised seeing people from all over the world, we had Lecturer from Japan, Italy, Scandinavian, Canada, Australia, USA and those only for the lectures that I was interested in. I must say there were three big lecture halls and there were lectures in in all of them parallel. Here is the lecturer from Italy, who presented the data of the hospitals in Italy who took part in one of the study.
