A storehouse and quays

In the past was herring fishery an important business and large fishing nets were used, in Norway it is called not . These constructions was made for handling the big fishing nets.

Should have been a roof over the poles but a storm blew it off during last winter

Equipment for pulling fishing nets on the quay. In the past fishing nets were made of cotton and it was important to take them ashore after use to dry them if they did not rot quickly

Such small businesses still exist in Scotland, especially in North, on small islands. Of course they have hard time working but earning little. Everything nowadays changes, big companies and machinery. Good on one hand but bad on other.
